New Hitman: Absolution Screens Hit Hard And Fast

IO Interactive is hard at work on the latest installment of Hitman, with a release in mind for sometime in 2012. While the Hitman franchise has been around for a long time, early impressions of the new installment seem to indicate that the series may finally be ready to broaden its appeal to a truly large audience.

It's hard to argue with screens as pretty as the ones below.

  • I foresee sexy times ahead.

  • Great game, Hitman needs to be played. I went all the way up to 2010 before Steam sales and played all the hitman series and while not all of them are good the gameplay is truly innovative.

Graphics looks great in this game. Real nice color and details.

  • Man, those screens look pretty despite what Agent 47 is doing in them. XD

  • I keep reading that they're making Hitman more action-oriented to attract the mainstream/FPS crowd. I hope there's still a lot of stealth and strategy :/

  • He's not such a nice guy after all...

  • I'm liking the priest disguise.

  • Glacier 2 is lookin' purdy good so far. Other than seemingly lacking tessellation.

  • Still haven't found a weapon as satisfying as his silver ballers... The first time I shot an enemy and send his lifeless corpse careening down a hallway was incredible! Hope this one is still full of stealth and suspense!
  • I've never played a Hitman title, but after reading the linked article, I might be ready to jump in.
  • I was waanted to play Hitman, it alwways looked cool.

  • It looks beautiful!

  • I have enjoyed all of the series and can not wait to play this one.

  • Hehe, that first screenshot with the axe doesn't look like it will end well....

Amazing looking game, I'm so excited to see Agent 47 making such an action-packed comeback.

  • Anyone that says graphics don't matter is lying to themselves.

  • Agent 47 is the best hitman games are so adictive.

  • my favorite is the one with the Bible.... i wonder how many people he's gonna kill with that
  • Screenshots do not do justice to a games quality so this should be awesome.

  • Cool. Out of any series where they pull you in with the whole "conduct a symphony of death" thing, Hitman was the only one where I actually felt like I was doing that. Killing with class, my friends. Killing with class.

  • I'm better than Hitman.

  • Looks great so far. I never owned a Hitman game but I loved the trailer for this one, so if it gets good reviews I'll pick it up.
