Xbox One Release Date And New Trailer

Microsoft is bringing 343 Industries’ twin-stick Halo shooter to Xbox One before the end of the year. The December release date was announced alongside a new trailer.

The top-down action title will be available on December 24 at the price of $14.99. Those that have already purchased the title on Windows Phone or Windows 8 will be able to get this new version for only $4.99.

The Xbox One version comes with the Operation Hydra expansion and a new co-op mode. An Xbox 360 version is still in the works, and that should be available in January 2014. You can read our review of the PC version here.

  • A Christmas Eve present to myself I see is in order!

  • No Christmas is complete without some Halo spirit! :3

  • Does anyone know if the co-op mode is coming to the PC and mobile version?

  • This'll be interesting. Is it on 360 as well?
  • Anybody know if there's a demo coming for it? I'm intrigued just because I love Halo but since this was developed for mobile gaming & I hate mobile, I'm wondering how it'll hold up on a console.
  • Woo!

  • Looks fun

  • This game was fun for like an hour.  It got very repetitive and didn't really feel like a halo game.  It felt like a cheap off-brand of halo.  I really wanted to like it, but the fun and atmosphere just wasn't there for me :/

  • Does anyone know if this game will have any Halos in it?

    I miss the Halos.

  • Sucks that I have to wait longer for the 360 version, but oh well. I've heard good things, so hopefully the wait is worth it.

  • It's a shame that they're putting the Xbox One version first on the priority list.  I guess this is to be expected though.

  • I got it on Windows Phone and very happy to see it coming to consoles. It works OK as a mobile game but definitely be a lot better as a cheap arcade console game. Definitely worth thr $5

  • Hope this comes to games with gold someday. And by someday I mean 2014. Not 2018. Then again I might even actually buy it. I like these 20$ games so far. Killer instinct, powerstar golf, now the halo. And I need more games for the console. Just dying to buy something. Smart to be releasing stuff on it like tomb raider and these guys wanna do.
  • *continues scratching wall to keep count of months before Halo 3 is finally ported to PC*
  • Hmmmm....may have to check this out on my windows phone...

  • I'm holding off for the 360 version.
