It had already been revealed that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition would be taking advantage of the Kinect at some capacity, but now we know exactly how. There are a few different ways the Kinect has been implemented, none of which require wild gesticulations while in the middle of a firefight.

You will be able to use voice commands in the middle of a gunfight to do things like reload your weapon, throw your grenades, and switch to the original Xbox Halo graphics. You will also be able to say the word scan while focusing your reticule on points of interest to learn more about the Halo universe and fill a sort of database called the Library, similar to what you were able to do in the Metroid Prime series.

The Library will be explorable with gesture controls so that you can look over your collected data and learn more about the lore of Halo.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition isn't too far, and it was revealed yesterday that the game has officially gone gold. We'll be able to get our hands (and voice, apparently) on the game on November 15.
