Update: Halo 5: Guardians' teased Hunt the Truth website is now live, and it chronicles Master Chief from the perspective of a war journalist.

The fictional journalist's name is Benjamin Giraud, and you can listen to episode 0 of his Master Chief chronicle here. In it he talks about how meeting the Master Chief changed everything for him. Ultimately, the story will stretch beyond Master Chief and into a full-blown investigation.

You can find out more by heading here.

Original story:

A new explosive Halo 5: Guardians teaser video points to a countdown timer that expires in about a day.

You can check out the teaser video below, and the countdown site it leads to by following this link. The video shows the iconic Halo sniper rifle firing off a bullet that has word traitor on it at a Master Chief helmet that looks very similar to the box art for The Master Chief Collection. The similarities to The Master Chief Collection's box art is likely just a coincidence, but it's hard not to recall the art when you see it.

A button on the site also encourages you to tweet the phrase, "What seems like the end, is only the beginning." with the hashtags #HUNTtheTRUTH and #Halo5. Whatever the site is teasing, we will find out more in about 32 hours.

Halo 5: Guardians releases on Xbox One this year.
