Firefight Achievements

This is a guide about Firefight achievement and how to obtain them. Lists of other Halo 3: ODST achievements coming soon!

As all score is accumulated and shared, these achievements become immensely easier when more people are playing with you. That is, of course, assuming they are good.

Be Like Marty

Value: 10 points

Description: In Firefight, finish a full round without killing a single enemy.

Unless you have friends who are willing to put up with your laziness, this achievement can be gained by yourself, if you have two controllers. If you don't have either, this is impossible.

Plug in both controllers. Play on a map without vehicles. Windward is arguably the best. Hide the one with the profile you want to get the achievement in in the back of the map. Use the second one and dominate the map until the end of round 1. Play on easy mode for the easiest time.

I'm assuming this achievement was named after Marty O'Donnell, the guy who composes the Halo games.

Funny Trivia: In Germany, this achievement was mistranslated and says "Fire a whole clip without killing anything."

Firefight-Crater

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Crater."

This achievement can be achieved (get the pun?) in either the "Night" or "Day" variant of the map. I'm not going to go into detailed description of these because then it would impede your fun of trying to find out how long you can stay alive. Just achieve this during normal playthrough.

Firefight-Lost Platoon

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Lost Platoon."

Again, pretty self-explanatory. The only tip I'll give you is that this is immensely easier with everyone on choppers. One person should grab the Spartan Laser, park somewhere, and shoot the Wraiths if they spawn. Other than that, spend the whole time on Choppers. Never engage a Chopper head-on. Because, unlike in Halo 3, these guys actually try to ram you.

Firefight-Rally

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Rally."

This achievement can be achieved in either the "Night" or "Day" variant of the map. I'm not going to go into detailed description of these because then it would impede your fun of trying to find out how long you can stay alive. Just achieve this during normal playthrough.

Firefight-Alpha Site

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Alpha Site."

This achievement is so much easier to get once you unlock Alpha Site. Har-de-har. That being said, I'm still not changing my mind. I will not tell you how to play your game. Stop Asking!

Firefight-Chasm Ten

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Chasm Ten."

How many times do I have to tell you?!? No means NO! Now go away and let me finish.

Firefight-Security Zone

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Security Zone."

Seriously, stop it. You're getting annoying. The entire point of Firefight is to see how long you can last. This achievement is just a reward for being pro.

Firefight-Windward

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Windward"

While you were busy trying to convince me to tell you how to get this achievement, I just played an immensely satisfying game of Firefight, coincidentally on this map.

Firefight-Last Exit

Value: 10 points

Description: Score over 200,000 points in Firefight Mission "Last Exit"

If you're still reading this and expecting me to tell you the answers, you're sadly mistaken. However, if you're still reading this just to see what I say, I applaud you.

If I left out anything, leave a comment and I will fix it as soon as I can. Unless it impedes your understanding of the guide, do not leave comments about grammar and spelling errors.
