To get the heretic Skull, enter Heretic in forge mode, then fly towards the top of the Blue base and the skull is located in the vent-like ducts.

You can see photos and a Heretic skull location video below:

next is the longshore skull

The Longshore Skull can be found on the Mythic map, “Longshore”. The Longshore Skull is located behind two air vents above the water in an area out of reach of regular players. To get to the Longshore Skull, you must be in Forge, and use the monitor to fly on top of the air vents to grab the skull.

You can see photos and a Longshore skull location video below:

and now for the final skull: this is the hardest skull to find.

The Citadel Skull can be found on the Mythic map, “Citadel”. It is located above a wall with blue triangles on it in the ceiling (shown in photos below). In forge mode, it can be accessed easily if working with two people. Well if you're truly determined to be the ultimate Halo Beast then you should learn to do the most impossible manuevers, stunts and tricks to be the most unstoppable player. There are tons of things you've never seen or even heard of doing like the Sticky Throwback or the Super Slide and many more all of which can be performed in real time gameplay. So when you jump into your 360 and you start up your Halo game, just remember... to Learn the Impossible.

Step 1: Finding a manuever.

The First step is to find a move that you wish to and could actually perform in a real time game, for noob I would suggest the Gravity Bat, it's simple and anyone could do it. While in play find a Gravity Hammer, that is if the map your playing on has one, and simply use it as a bat to fling incoming rockets away from, all it takes is some skilled timing and you should start flinging rockets around like turtles in flour bag.

Now eventually as you get up there in your manuevering abilities you should have started using your sniper for just about everything from sniping an enemy out of a banshee from behind to opening a jar of mayonaise without breaking the glass. It's extremely vital you master the sniper because if you rule the sniper you have absolute control over any other weapon. My favorite exercise to better my self in the art of headshots is to snipe rockets. Yes it can be done and it doesnt matter if the rocket is from a rocket launcher or a missile pod you can in fact snipe them out of them sky. The best way to do this is to take turns in a custom match with a buddy by firing rockets at one and other and sniping them as they approach. You can actually use this in a live game and the people firing will be in absolute awe of your magnificent ability.

Wiki Page: Halo 3: Setting Up

Here is a guide to most of the Halo 3 multiplayer maps. In this guide I will be explaining good set-ups and team tactics that I have personally used and that have worked.

The first map that I will feature will be one of my personal favorite maps: The Pit.

Before the game starts, have everyone designated a role on the team. There are 4 roles on the team that would need to be filled. This also goes for any other map. Have the best sniper on the team be, well, the sniper. They are to set up on top of the Sniper Tower. Thier job is to callout anyone coming across mid-bridge (sword bridge), enemy training, custom hall, and the sword room. In addition, they need to try and neutralize the enemy using the sniper. The next best person on the team is to set up on the long hall ramp or the needles spawn. Thier job is to make sure no one pushes the empty or long hall and to aid the man in green box. And the final man on the team, and maybe one of the most important, is to stay on your training. This is a VERY important job, as they are to protect the sniper from being flanked AND calling out anyone that the sniper doesnt pick up that rushes from custom hall. Make sure that the Sniper, Rocket Launcher, and Custom Power-Up are all being grabbed by your team also, whereas one of these can set your team back a bit if they are used correctly.

The next map is another one of my favorites: Guardian. This is an asymmetrical map that featurs one sniper, invisibility, and a mauler. As in the last tip, the sniper goes to the best one shotter on the team. They are to line up on Sniper 3. While the second best on the team should be lined up in either Top Green or Top Blue ro stop the spawn of the enemy team too close to your own. One other person is to set up oin elbow and is to cover bottom green, sniper lift, and Sniper 1/Bottom mid. This person needs to be the eyes of the group, whereas if one person slips past him, it will most likely mean disaster for the entire team. The final person is to be set on Sniper 2, making sure that the enemy team is not pushing top mid and is also looking to make sure that if they do spawn in Top Gold, that they are taken care of quicky by the sniper.

Some other tips that might be really useful in team-based games are

-Team shooting. Whenever a teammate sees an enemy, put a shot into them. This could be the deciding factor in a BR batlle between them and a friendly.

-CALLOUT! Make sure that you know most of the callouts on a given map before playing. And even if you dont, point out the obvious position. (ex. if you die where the sniper spawns in MLG, [S3] make sure you tell your team that.0 Tell your team where enemies are, because bad things will happen if they are unaware.

-Know the spawns. If you're playing on The Pit, and there are people lined up on needles, platform, greenbox, and training, the other team will most likely spawn in courtyard. Be sure to tell your team if you watch someone spawn also, because more than likely, thier teammates will also spawn close by.

Stay tuned for more Halo 3 tips and tricks.

Wiki Page: Assembly Skull

You first must be in forge mode. It is located behind the building where Sgt. Johnson is being held captive, up on the roof. You can gain access to the roof on the far right side of the building. Travel all the way over to the left side of the roof, and the Skull will be concealed in the corner.

BLCK EYE SKULL - This Skull is located in the beginning of the second level “Crow’s Nest”, the very room you start in. Hanging down from the ceiling is some piping. On top of this piping, on the side nearest to the large display (the one that Hood appears on) lies the “Black Eye Skull”.

TOUGH LUCK SKULL-The “tough luck skull” is found on the third level, at the point in the level when the huge covenant cruiser flies overhead. On your left is some large piping following the road you are walking on. Underneath this piping are some support beams that extend out over a cliff. Jump onto the first of these beams, and travel to the end of it. Look to your left, and the Tough Luck Skull will be sitting on a rock extending from a cliff edge.

CATCH SKULL-The “Catch Skull” can be found on the fourth level, in the first area where you need to destroy the Wraith Tanks. When you enter this area, do not eliminate the Wraith Tanks (The skull appears when the tanks appear, and disappears when the tanks are destroyed). The Skull is located on top of the circular building next to the Anti-Air Tank. You can access the roof using a grenade jump, or jumping on the back of a hog.

FOG SKULL-The Fog Skull is found on the level “Floodgate“, at the very beginning of the level. As you are walking down from the anti-air gun you destroyed in the previous mission, you encounter a ramp (next to a missile launcher). Around this ramp, you hit a checkpoint. At this point, you should also hear a marine yelling, “There! Over There!”.You have a small window of opportunity at this point, but it is fairly easy to get the Fog Skull. Look up, and to the right, directly at the roof of the building next to the missle launcher. There is a single flood form (not to be mistaken with the two other flood forms jumping in front of you) which is holding the skull. Kill him before he jumps, and he will drop the skull down to the ground where you can retrieve it. Too early, and the skull will get stuck on the roof though, so just time it carefully.

FAMINE SKULL-This skull requires a bit of grenade jumping skill/luck.You can find the “Famine Skull” on the sixth level, near the point where the path you follow branches off into two sections (one leading to the area where you need to let the tanks across the bridge, and the other leading towards the area where you meet up with the frigate). Take the right path, as you would if you were completing the mission, and you’ll notice a structure above you / to the left of you (near the area where you encounter a few ghosts). You need to scale the rocks to the right of the structure, and then travel across it so that you pass 3 of the large support beams extending into the cliffs. Inside of the fourth support beam, lies the Famine Skull. A well placed grenade should have you up there in no time! Another Way of getting the skull is to Hijack a Brute Chopper (there are plenty in the level that you can take), and then drive it up the rocks to the right of the structure, and jump the ledge onto the structure. Once on top, simply park the Chopper on the slant leading to the skull, and jump on top of the chopper, and then jump to the skull.

THUNDERSTORM SKULL-The “Thunderstorm Skull” can be found on the level, “The Covenant”, after you take command of one of the Hornet vehicles. Fly towards the second force field generator (the one the Arbiter disabled), and land. The skull is waiting at the very top, at the end of the ramp extending over the sea.

TILT SKULL-The “Tilt Skull” is found on the level “Cortana”, in the circular room where Cortana mentions that she “Likes to play games too…”.It’s a bit difficult to get to, as it requires getting on top of the ceiling of the room. Upon entering the room, head towards the left side where you will see some mushroom shaped extrusions along the wall. Get on top of these, and then look up and towards the right for another set of extrusions. Jump to these. From here, you should be able to jump on top of the ceiling of the room, where the Tilt Skull lies in the center.

MYTHIC SKULL-This is probably the easiest Golden skull in the game to get. It is located in the very beginning of the final level in Halo 3. Begin by heading into the canyon, but hug the right wall. Very soon, you will notice that there is a turn to the right that is off the normal trail. Head a bit down this path, and the “Mythic Skull” will be sitting there.

BLIND SKULL-The “Blind Skull” is the first of the Silver Skulls in Halo 3, and can be found in the first mission, “Sierra 117″. It is located relatively close to the beginning of the mission. After your first encounter with the Gold Armor Brute, Two enemy dropships will appear a bit further down the stream. Go towards the dropship that is furthest away, and stay on the right side of the stream. Continue along the right (towards the cliff edge), and a rock will jut out a bit over the large lake. The Blind Skull is located on this rock.

GRUNT BIRTHDAY PARTY SKULL-This is one of the more fun Silver Skulls in Halo 3. The “Grunt Birthday Party Skull” is located on the second mission, “Crow’s Nest”, just before the area where you team up with the Arbiter (it’s the piping area where you see Drones buzzing in and out of an array of pipes). Just before you jump down the pipe to met up with the Arbiter, stop at the ledge, and look directly below you. Along the wall that you drop down, there is a small ledge with a green arrow pointing backwards. Jump onto this ledge (rather than all the way down), and go inside this secret room. The skull is in the dead center of the room.

COWBELL SKULL-The “Cowbell Skull” is found on the level “The Ark”, and marks the third Silver Skull found in the game. It’s fairly far into the level, so it takes a bit of time to find it.Begin by heading all the way to the part of the level where you battle the Scarab. After defeating it, look in the middle of the desert area which you battled it in for a fairly large structure (it’s the building you see if you are at the bottom of the ramp you are supposed to go up, and turn to look in the opposite direction). Inside of this structure are several Gravity Lifts (shown below). Take one of these for later.

IWHBYD SKULL-The Skull is located in the level, “The Covenant”. After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end):4 6 5 4 5 3 4After jumping through them in this sequence, you will be awarded the “I Would Have Been Your Daddy Skull”. It will be right next to the bridge that brings you over to the Prophet of Truth.NOTE: YOU MAY NEED TO KILL THE PROPHET OF TRUTH, AND THE FLOOD BEFORE DOING THE RING JUMPS!

Wiki Page: Halo 3 Multiplayer Maps Strategies (Valhalla and Sandtrap)

Halo 3 has an incredibly diverse collection of multiplayer maps, all of them requiring different stategies and tactics to achieve victory. Here are some basics for each map to help you mercilessly crush your enemies into the dust.

VALHALLA

Valhalla is one of the most popular maps in halo 3, and you will often encounter it when playing big team gametypes and tactical game types. A major strategy for this map is simple, KILL THE BANSHEE! this may seem obvious, but its important to take out the enemy banshee as soon as possible, or youll find yourself pinned down by a hail of plasma bolts. This can be achieved numerous ways, but the eaiest are to either grab the missile pod located in your base and lock onto it to kill it, grab your banshee and engage it air to air, or to advance to the hill that divides the map and use the spartan laser located there to blow it out of the sky. BAM. one other key strategy on this map is to USE the vehicles. Not blow them up pointlessly, not leave them sitting forlornly at the back of your base, not alow the enemy to steal them and gun you down countless times, but USE THEM! doing so will give you a great advantage over enemy infantry on the ground and allow you to put up a resistance against enemy vehicles much more easily.

SANDTRAP

Sandtrap is another great multiplayer map you will encounter in halo 3 multiplayer. On this map combat moves around quite a bit and, unlike Valhala, you never know quite where you'll spawn. Vehicles play a key role here and so do the weapons to destroy them. there is a spartan laser and missile pod located at each base which will serve you well in blowing apart warthogs and choppers. when playing on this map it is essential to stay with your team. If you don't, then every time you encounter an enemy they will be double teaming you and you won't sand a chance. Also, it is much easier to take down vehicles if you have a partner with you. When using vehicles be catious of enemys armed with anti-vehicle weaponry, and never waste a vehicle, such as driving a warthog out only to take a banshee. If you'r trying to get across the map, use mongooses. They will atract less attention and are smaller targets to fire at.

That wraps up this game guide, there will be more to follow.

Wiki Page: Halo 3 Multiplayer Guide

HALO 3 MULTIPLAYER GUIDE.

By MosPhat.

Do Not Leech!

Halo 3 has to be one of the top multiplayer games out there, and seems to take quite alot of skill like most multiplayer games. But some players just need some support on gaining this skill. This guide has tips to help you through Halo 3 multiplayer and never break your controllers out of rage again.

1.Strafe!: Strafing is when you move around in the middle of combat to lead your opponent, missing their shots. Move side to side while still shooting at your opponent. When you got this down try adding more to it. Jump once in awhile while you strafe. Another move is to crouch real quickly when you strafe. This is best to do with a battle rifle, as it is much easier to aim with it. You may not win the fight but your chances are better than if you just stand there. Think about it this way, its easy to shoot a simple basketball hoop. But its more hard for someone to shoot a moving hoop. That's how your opponent will feel.

2.Power Weapons: This one is really a no brainer in a way. Always go for the power weapons. Don't be satisfied with your default BR or AR. Think of it this way, do you think someone with a gun will beat someone with a hammer? Now there's always a chance the BR or AR "hammer" will beat the Power Weapon "Gun" but again it increases your odds of winning a battle, but remember this...ALWAYS choose the OBJECTIVE "flag, oddball, bomb" over the POWER WEAPON. You could cost your team the win if you choose the sniper and then the flag but in the end since you chose the power weapon it was too late thus the opponent stopped your flag run and now has your sniper.

3.Learn the maps. This goes to a limit. Learn the maps you normally play. Guardian is one you should learn as it's on most of the playlists. Also find out what maps are on your favorite playlist "Team SWAT, MLG, Team Throwback, etc." try going to Bungie.net and take a look at their playlist info. Okay, so learning the map is simple, look for where the main stuff is like the power weapon locations, also look for shortcuts in the map when you're running the flag, LEARN CALLOUTS.

Here's a site that will teach you them http://alisdair.mcdiarmid.org/stuff/callouts/ . Oh yes, google is your friend too!

4.Juggle The Objective: Unless you're trying to be more stealthy, juggle the flag! To do this just pick up and drop the flag as you run along to your base. It's hard to do at first but trust me, its simple once you get the hang of it. This doesn't just go for the flag either, it'll work on any objective.

5.DO NOT CAMP: Do not camp! Why? Because when you camp somewhere you risk becoming an easy target, and your camping spot will soon become swarmed by grenades, It's okay to camp for small periods of time but if you camp for large periods you won't be very helpful or successful. The only time I'd suggest you camp is in FFA. "Free For All" Since you don't have a team you'd be moving alot.

5.Avoid Annoying Players: When you avoid a person on Xbox LIVE that player will no longer be able to match up with you in matchmaking. So if you get one of those annoying kids who just plays music through the mic or is using a2nd account, just avoid them (or you could just mute them)

6.TALK: In a game it is important to communicate with your team mates as you play. When you are in the pregame lobby, check to see if they have mic connected. If so then put yours in as well, call out and just give your support with your voice. Also inform them as where weak players are or when something spawns.

7.The Higher The Better: Staying up high, preferably with a BR, is always good. Usually the higher parts of the map are the points where you can control the map.

8.Learn the powers of the grenade!: There are mostly consider two types of grenades, frag and sticky. Sticky is plasmas or spike grenades. Frags are regular grenades! Frags bounce off hard areas and objects, but sink in the snow. Stickies will always stick and deal more damage. If you're unsure about a lift or hallway grenade it first :D

9.Radar!: Radars aren't only in COD! Use your radar. When you see someone walking towards you be ready, oh, and to avoid other players seeing you crouch in spots you suspect players will see you on there radar.

10.Take Breaks: Playing for hours at a time is bad for your health for one thing. But also it can decrease your hand eye coordination. So just take some breaks at times go into forge de-stress or go and do something else. Don't play it for 3 hours straight or more.

THIS LIST WILL BE UPDATED MORE AND MORE WITH NEW IDEAS.

Wiki Page: The Halo 3 Complete silver and gold skull locations

Halo 3:Gold Skull Locations

Iron Skull

The Skull is located at the very end of the first level, “Sierra 117″. It is located behind the building where Sgt. Johnson is being held captive, up on the roof. You can gain access to the roof on the far right side of the building. Travel all the way over to the left side of the roof, and the Skull will be concealed in the corner.

The Black Eye Skull

This Skull is located in the beginning of the second level “Crow’s Nest”, the very room you start in. Hanging down from the ceiling is some piping. On top of this piping, on the side nearest to the large display (the one that Hood appears on)

The Catch Skull

The Skull is found on the third level, at the point in the level when the huge covenant cruiser flies overhead. On your left is some large piping following the road you are walking on. Underneath this piping are some support beams that extend out over a cliff. Jump onto the first of these beams, and travel to the end of it. Look to your left.

Fog Skull

This Skull is found on the level Floodgate at the very beginning of the level. As you are walking down from the hill with the anti-air gun you destroyed in the previous mission, you encounter a ramp. Around this ramp, you hit a checkpoint. At this point, you should also hear a marine yelling, “There! Over There!”.

You have a small window of opportunity at this point, but it is fairly easy to get the Fog Skull. Look up, and to the right, directly at the roof of the building next to the huge missle launcher. There is a flood which is holding the skull. Kill him before he jumps, and he will drop the skull down to the ground where you can retrieve it.

Famine Skull

You can find this Skull on the sixth level, near the point where the path you follow branches off into two sections (one leading to the area where you need to let the tanks across the bridge, and the other leading towards the area where you meet up with the frigate). Take the right path, as you would if you were completing the mission, and you’ll notice a structure above you to the left of you (near the area where you encounter a few ghosts) Hijack one if needed.

Hijack a Brute Chopper or a ghost (there are plenty in the level that you can take), and then drive it up the rocks to the right of the structure, and jump the ledge onto the structure. Once on top, simply park the Chopper on the slant leading to the skull, and jump on top of the chopper, and then jump to the skull.

Thunderstorm Skull

This Skull can be found on the level, “The Covenant”, after you take command of one of the Hornets. Fly towards the second force field generator (the one the Arbiter disabled), and land. The skull is waiting at the very top, at the end of the ramp extending over the cliff.

Tilt Skull

This Skull is found on the level “Cortana”, in the circular room where Cortana mentions that she “Likes to play games too…”.

It’s a bit difficult to get to, as it requires getting on top of the ceiling of the room. Upon entering the room, head towards the left side where you will see some mushroom shaped extrusions along the wall. Get on top of these, and then look up and towards the right for another set of extrusions. Jump to these. From here, you should be able to jump on top of the ceiling of the room, where the Tilt Skull lies in the center with some bones and a carcuss.

The Mythic Skull

This is the easiest Golden skull in the game to retrieve. It is located in the very beginning of the final level. Begin by heading into the canyon, but hug the right wall. Very soon, you will notice that there is a turn to the right that is off the normal trail. Head a bit down this path it will be sitting on the ground next to some rocks.

Halo 3: Silver Skulls Locations

The Blind Skull a.k.a. the most useless skull ever created

This Skull is the first of the Silver Skulls in Halo 3, and can be found in the first mission, “Sierra 117″.

The Grunt Birthday Skull

This Skull is on the second mission, “Crow’s Nest”, just before the area where you team up with the Arbiter (it’s the piping area where you see Drones flying in and out of of pipes). Just before you jump down the pipe to meet up with the Arbiter, stop at the ledge, and look directly below you. Along the wall that you drop down, there is a small ledge with a green arrow pointing backwards. Jump onto this ledge and go inside this secret room. The skull is in the dead center of the room far in the back.

Cowbell Skull

Begin by heading all the way to the part of the level where you battle the Scarab. After defeating it, look in the middle of the desert area which you battled it in for a structure (it’s the building you see if you are at the bottom of the ramp you are supposed to go up, and turn to look in the opposite direction). Inside of this structure are several Gravity Lifts. Take one of these for later.

Next, head up the huge ramp, and head inside of the building (the one with the cartographer inside). Pass through a few of the rooms in this building, and you’ll eventually come to a room with a whole lot of Explosive crates. Right after this room is a Staircase/Hallway that leads to the level below. The Skull is located at the top of the room, at the point where you turn on the staircase to head for the next part of the slope. There are four platforms above you, the Skull is on the uppermost of these platforms. Use the Gravity Lift to jump up to it, and there you have it!

I Would Have Been Your Daddy Skull

The Skull is located in the level, “The Covenant”. After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end)

The order is 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 and after you are done the rings should light up and the skull should be on the beam bridge at the end of the level where the prophet is killed. I recommend killing all the flood and killing the prophet first.

Sources: HaloPlanet.com

I feel like im missing a skull please edit this guide if i am or just contact me.

Wiki Page: To clear out large crowds

Snipe as many as you can to start then when only a few are left clear them with a powerful gun (shotgun or Rocket launcher)

Wiki Page: Most recomended wepon set

a br as ur secondary wepon then the Spartan laser even though it runs out of amo fast its useful for taking out turrents!

Blog Post: Halo 3 Review

This game is aweswome! Look towards where the sun is setting between the two obelisks. Sitting against the wall is the skull. Problem is, as soon as you leave the marked area, the guardians will kill you. So heres my way of getting the skull.

In forge place a sender node inside the marked area and quickly while in edit mode hold LT to go fast and place a reciever mode as close to the skull as you can. You will die. After that, do the same thing except put a couple of walls on the reciever node so that the guardians cant zap you. Build a tunnel to the skull. After the tunnel ends make a mad dash for the skull and hopefully you will get it and the achievement.

If you have a Bungie.net account, you can also download pre-made sandbox maps that lead you to the skull or spawn you right at the skull on Xbox LIVE. Just search for things like "sandbox skull" or "Sandboxtunnel".

Happy achievement hunting!
