I was thinking about buying GH 5 for this but I'm kind of tired of GH and RB. I'll probably give it a rent to see if I can beat the harder songs once it comes out though.

I got it in the mail last week and even though I like the songs...I just couldn't get myself into it. It seemed too cheesy.

I'll probably be renting this, and if it's good enough, then I'll buy it. It kills me to say this, but ever since World Tour, GH just hasn't appealed to me as much. You know it's a bit saddening when you rent all the games or wait for them to get cheaper instead of buy them right off the bat... Not to say that it isn't fun, it's just not AS fun as it used to be :-(

van halen is one of the best rock-n-roll bands of all time..as well as metallica and aerosmith! i think GH has done a great job with all these titles..just the fact that,neversoft & company have signed bands of that caliber is just amazing in itself not to mention the games are badass!! you gotta give rockband 1&2 respect too just because of the insane dlc content....and all the drunken rockband nights of spilled beer,missed notes,and just plain suckin!! ahhh! the memories!

Well good thing this is a freebie so the Guitar Hero fans won't have to buy ANOTHER Guitar Hero game this year. Well I am off to play some Rock Band where I have 1 game with a possible music library of over 500 songs.

After hearing about the dual pack GH 5 and GH Van Halen I went out and got it. Personally I was not expecting groundbreaking music platforming when I heard I was getting Van Halen for free. I am going to give it a whirl when I finally get it in the mail.

i'm so fricking tired of Guitar Hero. hardly any of the guest acts fit with Van Halen and some have already been done on Rock Band 2. Give me Guitar Hero: SLAYER and maybe i'll give a crap about this franchise again. otherwise, i'll just wait and hope that Harmonix is working on Rock Band 3.
