Grand Theft Auto 5 (also known as Grand Theft Auto V and GTA5 ) is the "fifth" game in the Grand Theft Auto series from developer Rockstar Games. While there have been other full-fledged GTA games (like GTA Chinatown Wars, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, etc.), the "5" in this case represents the fifth installment of the game's "main" story that started anew with the nameless protagonist in Grand Theft Auto 3.

As soon as it was revealed that GTA V would feature three main protagonists, many were intrigued by the prospect of playing the main storyline with friends.
Unfortunately co-operative gameplay will not feature in the main component, but Rockstar will instead offer a significant multiplayer component.
Multiplayer will play a big part in GTA V, and will include a large component like that of its predecessor, GTA IV.
It is not currently known exactly how the multiplayer will work, but it has been confirmed that 'Crews', which were most recently seen in Max Payne 3, will also be used in Grand Theft Auto V .
The 'Crew' mechanic makes use of Rockstar's Social Club, which has been in use since the release of Red Dead Redemption. By creating a 'Crew' in a game such as Max Payne 3, players will be able to port across their character between the two games.
Does this need explaining? As usual we can expect to jack many of the vehicles in GTA 5. Remember that not all citizens will let you take their car without issue. The cops will notice you breaking in or tugging people out as well as car alarms giving them the heads-up that the car isn't yours so take a quick look around before trying anything.
