Either Slime Tether them into the floor to stun them, or Slime Dunk them into traps.
-For difficult enemies, make every shot count. Get up close and use Bozon Darts if you can, rather than spraying your Blast Stream around the room.
-If you're really struggling, keep in mind you can get this trophy on any difficulty. If you play through this on Easy, you can let the computer Ghostbusters do all the work in the hotel lobby and in Times Square to avoid doing any damage. From there it'll be a walk in the park.

Good luck and good shooting.

Wiki Page: Proton Pack Upgrade Trophies

Simple and straightforward Trophies collected throughout the campaign

Heat 'Em Up Bronze Trophy Purchase all upgrades for the Proton Gun.

Proton Gun Upgrades:
Blast Stream Focusing - $1,500
Blast Stream Recoil Decrease - $10,000
Boson Dart Supercharge - $12,000
Boson Damage Immunity - $14,000
Total - $37,500

Mother Pus Bucket! Bronze Trophy Purchase all upgrades for the Slime Gun

Slime Gun Upgrades:
Slime Blower Force Increase - $3,000
Reduced Slime Consumption - $4,000
Slime Tether Duration - $5,000
Slime Tether Cost Reduction - $8,000
Total - $20,000

We be fast! The story was engaging, as was the voice acting. I was great to have the original cast involved in the game. It gave it a better since of authenticity as you hear the familiar voices from the movies.

My issue witht he game was the feeling that I was running around reviving my feloow Ghostbusters more than capturing ghosts. It felt as if once i would revive one of my fallen teammates, aother one would be down on the ground and I would have to run over and revive him. There were a few big boss battles in particular where this was the case, but it did seem to run throughout the entire game. I was not able to spend as much time busting ghost as i would have liked because of this.

The single player campaign is fairly short, which was ok by me. By the time I got to the end, I was ready for it. This is generally not the best attidude to have for a game. I had basically grown tired of the gameplay by the end.

Blog Post: Gotta love great theme songs

what game you gonna buy......Not this one!

Blog Post: GHOSTBUSTERS

concept: back to business bustin ghosts

graphics: 1st game that actually is good in a scifi game

sound: *** good voice casting!

playability: controls are easy to get used to if you listen to the tutorials

replay value: moderately high

Blog Post: solid game, awesome story

if your a fan of the films, then read no further and buy the game. However, if you are not, then you probably have no interest in the game and are most likely not reading this. "Ghostbusters" is a solid game whose script, which is penned by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, makes it much better than every other solid game.
The concept of Ghostbuster's gameplay is rather original. with that being said, it can be repetitive at times with much of your time in the game being spent capturing ghosts or shooting at them with your proton pack. initially it's very fun, but near the end your motivation is not so much game play as it is reaching the next cut scene to hear some funny jokes. The game can still be very intense at times despite its comedic atmosphere, with big set pieces like a times square level and an epic fight with a familiar friend from the first film. It's unfortunate that the game play is plagued by repetition, but it holds up and entertains for at least one play through.

Ghostbuster's story is its shining accomplishment that makes the game well worth at least one playthrough. Like I said before, it was written by the minds behind the original films which is a great thing. The cut scenes retain that comedic flair that hasn't been seen since 1989. I am sad that Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver are absent from this game though. despite these two actors not being in the game, the story will still please any fan of the film.

Ghostbusters isn't a great game and at most is above average. however, the witty story and original game play concept make it worth while for any fan of the series.

Blog Post: Ghostbusters rock but the multiplayer doesnt

Ghostbusters is a great game to play if you have ever been a fan of the movie. Your teamates are completely useless on hard difficulty though and the epic boss battle with stay-puffed isn't very epic. the cupid part is a pain in the ass as well but other than that, it is very fun.

Blog Post: He Slimed Me....

Yeah, so it took me this long to finish this game, you got a problem with that? :)

I know what you might be thinking. "Ghostbusters? Why now? It's been so long. I feel like this is one of those remakes of 80's movies like Indiana Jones, Rocky, and Rambo that have been popping up lately. No thanks!" To be fair, yes, it's like that. I'm sick and tired of the trend, too, but the one difference is: I FREAKIN' LOVE GHOSTBUSTERS! After giving this a shot, I might say that maybe a few more of my favorite franchises need to come back to life.

The story revolves around a new museum exhibit dedicated to Gozer. You think that NYC would've figured out not to do things like that by now, but oh well. Things goes haywire, and you have to start rounding up ghosts. As you begin the game, you take on the persona of a rookie with the Ghostbusters, who has been brought in to test new equipment and help out when necessary. The dialogue in the game is great. Your character doesn't talk, but all of the guys play the same as in the movies, which leads to hysterical interactions. The game was like watching one of the movies, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Fans, look for the reintroduction of Walter Peck from the first movie. Classic!

As far as gameplay, you are busting ghosts. Surprising, huh? You move around a variety of levels (seven in all, if I remember correctly) and catch or destroy any ghosts or other types of enemies you may find. Busting ghosts is fun, even though you do it A LOT. However, it didn't really seem to get that old to me. With the introduction of new weapon types and some variety to the ghosts, I almost always was enjoying myself while finding new ways to capture or destroy my enemies.

Graphics are pretty and ugly at the same time. Some things have a high level of polish on them, while others look like PS2 graphics. My least favorite part is the way everyone's mouth moves. There will be times when it is highly accurate, and then others when it looks like a child puppeteer is moving the mouth. Overall, though, this is a pretty game, and the levels are nicely varied and FREAKIN' HUGE! Some levels lasted well over an hour, and moved from our dimension to others with the greatest of ease. One other thing I need to mention is the lighting. I like creating an atmosphere with the darkness, but half the time I couldn't find out where I was going because I couldn't see. The flashlight uber-sucks, and when you're exploring caves and the like, you're gonna need a little more light. They have invented giant packs that shoot out proton beams, but can't make a better headlamp? Really.....

Oh yeah, and while I'm at it, why does it take 20 seconds to restart from a checkpoint? You've already loaded up everything! You're driving me crazy with these long load times! ARGH! Sorry, just had to get that out there... :)

Overall, this is a great game with a few flaws that keep it from being perfect. If the movies (or cartoon) weren't your bag, then maybe stay away from this one. But if you were a fan of the movies, you should give this a rental or even buy it if it's really cheap somewhere. You'll find a good 7-8 hour experience in the story. I didn't play online (as I don't have it), but I'm guessing there's probably no one on there anymore, so you can forget that part. :) Seeing this game makes me believe in 80's reimagingings. Now if we could only get a 3 Ninjas sequel....

Blog Post: Best liscensed game ever.

Ghostbusters is great game even if it is based off a movie. The story is funny and enjoyable (especially the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man) but the multiplayer is a bit boring and tacked on. I love the custom music feature (Playing Ghostbusters and listenining to Led Zeppelin at the same time is awesome.)

Forum Post: Ghostbusters PS3

Great game. Although I do not agree with what Game Informer has to say about games most of the time, I more or less agree with this one. The story is wonderful. The visuals are very good, and the voice overs are fantastic. For me, Bill Murray's performance wasn't the best one of the Ghostbusters- Ray's was. Although, the hotel manager is my favorite in the game.you'll see why when you play it.

It seems like, especially on a harder difficulty, all you do is revive your dependent teammates. There seems to be more of the ghosts you cannot trap, and you do get bombarded with cheap shots. But all in all, the game is highly addictive and highly entertaining. I gave this game a 9.

Blog Post: As close to a fourth movie as it can get.

When I first heard that they were going to make a video game based on the famed 1980 movies I was feeling a bit skeptical at first, seeing as most games based on movie' s turn out to be real crap. Ultimately I decided to give Ghostbusters a try, and I was very surprised by the way it was able to turn out.

PROS:

.Great to look at.

.Hats off to the great voice acting by the four original busters.

.Loads of fun catching ghosts

. For once, wonky controlling when trying to capture ghosts is usefull, as it helps create a nice experience.

CONS:

. AI's and yourself die easily

.Too short of a campaign

.Story doesn't really pull you in

Overall, Ghostbusters is a good game while the action lasts, but unfortunately not enough is given to you, and many Ghostbusters fans will be yearning for more.

File: Ghostbusters

File: Ghostbusters

File: Ghostbusters

File: Ghostbusters

File: Ghostbusters
