The lights are on
Galak-Z: The Dimensional, developer 17-Bit's 2D space shooter, is now coming to Vita, as well as PlayStation 4.
Along with the announcement of the game's Vita port, 17-Bit released a handful of screens (which you can see in the gallery below), as well as a pair of gifs showing off some gameplay and level creation.
In its post announcing the Vita version of the game, 17-Bit calls out games like Don't Starve and Spelunky as titles that convinced the team it was worth bringing the game over to a handheld.

What exactly is this game? Is it a normal top-down shooter? Or is it exploration based?
Man I cannot wait for this game. I never understood the appeal of the twin stick shooter revival. All the major elements were in place in the early 80s, and the final evolution occurred with Smash TV. I haven't seen anything remotely innovative since then.
My greatest fear is that this game will come and go and have no impact on the greater gaming community because they'll all be like, "WTF? No tWin stix shotting??!?11 Lam3."
Don't Starve came out on the Vita?!
Why was I not aware of this lol?
Man, this piece of news may finally make me buy a Vita. At the same time, Galak-Z along with Arkham Knight may make me buy PS4.
