FranknJohn
Dublin-based independent developer BitSmith's latest game, FranknJohn, is now on Kickstarter and will be coming to Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux later this summer. FranknJohn is a "roguelike smash-em-up" action game, which will feature randomly-generated levels, customizable body parts, and a story inspired by horror B-Movies. BitSmith hopes to intimately involve its backers in the development process.
The game will follow title character FranknJohn, a failed experiment of mad scientist Dr. Harmin with a head attached to his mismatched body only by a long chain. Players will control FranknJohn on his quest to confront his creator by navigating environments and battle enemies with the detached head.
BitSmith previously developed and published Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan, which is available on PC, Mac, Linux, and Android. FranknJohn will launch first in early access for backers. Check out BitSmith's Kickstarter here.
