Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Joins A Crowded March 2014

There’s unlikely to be any forced laughter at the news that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is coming a bit later than expected. Square Enix has announced that Tidus, Yuna, and company will be arriving on PlayStation 3 in March. As for the Vita versions, we’re still waiting on details.

The good news is that Final Fantasy X will include the Eternal Calm story segment, and X-2 will include the Last Mission. These were previously only available in international versions.

Along with the March 18, 2014, release date, Square Enix has released a new trailer showcasing elements of both included titles. The HD collection will retail for $39.99. Those that pre-order will be upgraded to the limited edition at no cost, which includes an art book.

March is starting to become crowded, with Titanfall, Infamous: Second Son, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and now the long-awaited Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Hard decisions will be made, but whatever you end up playing that month, you’re going to be in for a treat.

  • they could has left out X-2 and just gave me 10

  • Well seeing as none of these other titles have been on my radar (except maybe Stick of Truth), my March won't be too crowded.

  • Don't forget Dark Souls II in March...

  • I know that people will think I'm insane for saying this, but I'm very happy that this got delayed until March. Now I'll have more time to scrape up some extra money for it.
  • YES!!! Glad I decided to keep my PS3. Still great games coming out for PS3 only and not PS4.
  • March, Final Fantasy XIII-3, Tales of Symphonia Collection, and then Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 the same day as ToS. Then March brings me Final Fantasy X/X-2 Collection and possibly hopefully MGSV...what the hell are you doing to me?! I want to move on from this console! Baaaaaaaaah!

  • It comes out in the same month as Dark Souls? Guess it's time to save up for March.

  • I really want to play this but to me it's not worth 39.99. I'll pay it anyway but that's steep for games so old. Also, I have or never had any interest in X-2, they lost me when they started asking me to put dresses on characters. Too bad this isn't coming to PS4 and good thing I kept my PS3.
  • woah. march! too long...pre-ordered this game since july! D: oh wells, patience is virtue...

  • And Dark Souls 2.

  • Good, while I'm getting platinum trophies of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Chain of Memories, and Final Fantasy XIII-2.

  • I've only ever played Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 and I was a huge fan of either of them, but I'm considering getting this one as it looks pretty good.

  • might as well make it for the PS4, make the game jump two generations instead of one.

  • In my opinion, this is a bad decision on Square Enix's part. Final Fantasy 10 is what ultimately sent the entire Final Fantasy series down the drain. They need to go back to the very first Final Fantasy games when they were actual fantasy games, without all the futuristic crap, and remake those. I'd love to play FF1, and have it look like FF13. Make my 4 heroes of light, and restore the crystals. That's the way Final Fantasy was mean't to be. If they want to make a future game, they need to make a new series. Leave Final Fantasy to the fantasy.
  • Finally a release date! The other games don't matter because this is the only game I want in March.

  • It's awesome that an official release date has at long last come to light. March of 2014 will for certain shine bright for gamers. ^_^

  • FINALLY, a release date.  I was hoping for maybe January or Feb, but March is just fine.

  • This is going to be a fantastic March!

  • Bit later than I had hoped for, but glad to see an actualy release date.

Pumped up to replay FF X in HD!

  • Just might find the excuse to replay FF X and, heck, even X-2 that I've been waiting for all of these years. . .
