Sony is bringing the relaunched Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to PlayStation 4 consoles in April, and it's offering incentive to pre-order the game.

The game will be available on April 14 and pre-orders begin tomorrow, January 27. If you pre-order the game you get access to the Mog Cap and Cait Sith Doll minion, and the opportunity to start the game a little early on April 11. Players who already have a registered version of Final Fantasy XIV Collector's Edition, or who plan on buying the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector's Edition will also receive the Fat Chocobo Mount and a Wind-up Moogle minion, which are exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

The regular edition of the game is $39.99. The Collector's Edition, which will only be available through Square Enix's online store will be $79.99 and includes the following items:

  • Special box featuring artwork by Yoshitaka Amano
  • Art Book – The Art of Eorzea: A Realm Reimagined
  • Special Soundtrack -The Sounds of Eorzea-

  • Art Card Set
  • Themed Security Token
  • In-Game Items – Coeurl Mount, Behemoth Barding, Baby Behemoth minion, Helm of Light, Fat Chocobo Mount and Wind-up Moogle minion

Players can take part in the beta for free starting on February 22.
