The lights are on
[Update] After Joystiq posted a story about a release date for Fez, Polytron's Phil Fish, who is the lead designer and artist behind Fez, spoke to the site and said that the release date is inaccurate and that that game has not been certified by Microsoft.
Fish also spoke up on twitter to make it completely clear that May 2 is not the release date for Fez.
[Original story] We knew it would be this year, but the continually delayed game finally has a solid release date.
For the unfamiliar, Fez was supposed to release back in 2010. It's a 2D platformer that allows perspective switching in 3D to rotate the environment, and it looks awesome.
Fez will be available exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade (for the time being) on May 2.

Fez's game cover tells me enough about its self - old school with a hint of perspective changes.
I look forward to it =)
That is fantastic, and it looks at least for now, it won't be releasing next to anything big that month(Max Payne and Ghost Recon are for totally different audiences). It will be nice to see this little indie title shine.
Yes! Best news in a while! I can't wait for Fez! Now to go sleep for a couple of months.
Can't wait! This looks to be another XBLA classic!
Looks like Tiny Tower visuals
This is the best news I've heard all month.
Finally! After seeing a little gameplay clip in the Indie Game movie trailer, I've really wanted to play this. Bring it on, I'll pay up
Yes, lov eit, and i now have a reason to where my fez
FEZ IS NOT COMING OUT MAY 2. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. PHIL FISH OFFICIALLY DENIED THIS RELEASE DATE ON TWITTER. Apparently, Microsoft is just being a Dick, Fez is NOT COMING OUT ON MAY 2.
i love that arcade games are still going strong.
I hope this eventually makes its way to ps3, I want to play this so badly!
