The lights are on
Fallout 3 reminds that we love scavenging for food while getting mauled by Super mutants. What? You don't like getting mauled? Well none-the-less Falllout 3 is a load of fun and Bethesda (the makers of the Elder Scrolls Series) took up the reigns and made a truly great game. The graphics are superb, and you are easily immersed into the world. The V.A.T.s system is genious and really shows off the gore mechanic. Unfortuanatley, when your not using V.A.T.s it's pretty hard to get good aim. the weapons are nice ranging from a bb gun, to a hand-held nuclear catapult. Fallout 3 succesfully goes beyond the normal black and white and has enough morally grey choices to make you actually feel. It's fun to play but the size of the world is actually smaller than Oblivion. Thankfully they compensated for this by adding so much DLC that your head will explode. Fallout 3 is definately one of my favorite RPG's this year, but not of all time. I liked exploring the Capital Wasteland with my dog, but the ending sucked, and the level cap was way too low. Also I didn't enjoy the fact that i found most all the locations in a week or so.
