The lights are on

This is a guide to playing Fable III as a morally good king, while still raising enough money to save your entire kingdom from the Crawler, using several easy steps.
1) The first step to the ultimate good playthrough begins early on in the game, when your character is restricted to Brightwall Village and the Dweller Camp, and after the Landlord Pack becomes available in the Road to Rule. As soon as you have enough money (and the Landlord Pack), begin buying houses in the Dweller Camp and renting them out. Everytime you get enough money to buy a new house, do so, and sell any gems you find in your travels to the pawnbroker for extra gold. Once you get a sizeable income, concentrate on buying more expensive houses, rather than cheap houses, so that you have less properties to keep track of (constantly repairing thirty houses can become tedious). Also, begin gathering silver keys.
2) After opening the fifth gate in the Road to Rule, you will gain the ability to buy businesses. Immediately stop buying houses and only purchase businesses from now on, since businesses don't require repair. Once again, spend any gold you have on new businesses, unless you desperately need to purchase something else (ex. health potions). As you play through the game, try to complete every side mission (except the assassination ones), in order to draw out the length of the game; as you may have noticed, Fable III, unlike Fable II, gives you money for every 5 minutes of playtime, rather than real time.
Once you obtain 10 silver keys, you can open two chests (one in Brightwall and one in Bowerstone Industrial) which contain 50,000 gold each. There is also a chest that requires 15 keys inside Chillbreath Caverns, which contains 75,000 gold. Invest this money in more businesses.
3) Once you've successfully become king of Albion, the hard part begins. As a king that makes only good decisions (or good and neutral decisions), you will amass a gigantic debt in the royal treasury, possibly as high as 4 or 5 million gold (In addition to the amount you need for the Crawler's invasion, this will require you to raise about 10 million gold) . Keep in mind that you don't have many days to prepare for the Crawler's invasion, and that time skips at the end of each "scheduled" day range from 30 to 120 days (In general, try to avoid scheduled activities once you've passed the 200 day mark). Now, if you haven't already, find all 50 silver keys. There is a 50 key chest in the Bowerstone Castle Gardens, which contains 2 million gold and should take some of the burden off of you. In addition, another 10 key, 50,000 gold chest is located in the Shifting Sands (the Auroran desert). Other than that, there really isn't much you can do except complete quests, open demon doors, hunt gnomes, and collect items to pass the time until you have enough money to save everybody.
4) Once you have enough money for the invasion (and possibly a little extra to cover any expenses from royal decisions you haven't already made), transfer it to the royal treasury in multiple installments of 1 million gold, and prepare for the final battle. If you've followed my tips, you should do fine.
3*alternative) WARNING. The following method is an alternative to step 3 which could be considered cheating by some, but which makes the process much easier for the player. Use it at your own discretion. Also, PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE METHOD DESCRIPTION BEFORE ATTEMPTING IT.
The main flaw with step 3 is the fact that you will need to spend at least 8 hours (most likely much longer) wandering through Albion after the revolution in order to raise enough money to save everybody. This strategy does not eliminate that time, but allows you to spend that time doing something other than playing Fable III. So without further ado:
Every "scheduled" day after you overthrow Logan, your royal personal assistant will provide with a schedule (duh). When the schedule appears on your screen, DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING. Put your controller down and leave the game running. Come back after an hour and check on the game; if done correctly, you will have amassed an hour's worth of income from your properties. This only works when the schedule's on your screen, because for some reason the game doesn't realize that you have left the game. At any other point in the game, you will stop earning gold when you're away from the game for more than five or ten minutes. Now, if the method is working, leave the game running for as long as you need to amass the required amount of good. Otherwise, wait until you get your next schedule and try again. PLEASE NOTE THAT LEAVING YOUR XBOX ON FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME COULD HAVE DISASTROUS EFFECTS ON THE XBOX, INCLUDING OVERHEATING, WHICH COULD REQUIRE COSTLY AND TIME CONSUMING REPAIRS. THEREFORE, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO CAREFULLY CONSIDER YOUR OPTIONS BEFORE USING THIS METHOD.
