A different kind of Albion.

Fable is one of my favorite game series to ever be released. The world of Albion is one I constantly miss after completing each heroic quest. Fable heroes, takes the epic adventure series in a new direction by introducing a totally different gameplay experience. Fable heroes is a 4 player beat em up that struggles to entertain on its own. The experience alone is very bare and can be boring, but with friends the world of Albion is fun to explore in a new light. The graphics are very bold and vibrant and the music is enjoyable enough adding a nice feel to the world, and the "dice rolling" leveling up system is a nice touch. Fable Heroes is designed to be a children's beat em up game, and that is exactly what it is. It isn't a traditional fable experience, but a new simpler one. And an enjoyable one at that.

  • Fable franchise needs a lot of improvement if it wants to survive in today's AAA market. It has to rise above all and do something new bcuz RPG genre is rich. Hopefully Fable 4 will be awsome...
  • This game is terrible regardless of its target audience.

  • It LOOKS fun by the screenshots. However i'm sure that all the repetetive actions would get boring. Heck i can't even stand my sister playing 5 of the same notes in a row on the piano

  • LMFAO at this review

  • Wow a game that gives all of the promises from its initial announcement gets a 4.0 by Ben. However a game that has lied on its promises gets a perfect score even when the narrative seems to have come from a high school creative writing class. I am referring to biowares last two launches. Seriously there seems to be a bias. Well here is to the enivitable flame war to come from this.

  • Not exactly an in-depth review. I've never understood why the Fable franchise gets so much love, when the original was just good. Fable II was all right and Fable III was a chore to play. The combat was too simple and unbalanced, the game's plot was boring, the character's were barely worth noticing, the king section was complete ***, the side quests were extremely generic and boring, the Sanctuary was a stupid idea that added nothing but play time, and the stupid player interactions with NPCs were extremely repetitive. The game was dumbed down so much that even my 5 year old cousin thought it was boring. I liked the first game, but one game can't support a franchise.  This franchise is in need of serious help, because as it is, it can't contend with the games being released.
