How To Get Sweet XP

Leveling up your character is really what this game is about. To speed through this game you’re going to want to have some of the best levels you can possibly get. This will make the overall game play easier. *Duh*

Now the best way to do this is to use a variety of different combat styles. Example: if you are fighting a bandit you don’t just want to melee him over and over. The combat system is designed to reward players that take advantage of all three of the combat types, magic, melee, and skill. What you need to do is switch it up. Try using melee a few times then finish off the guy with a pistol shot or a fire spell. Do this in every battle and at the top it will say “Great fight x amount% bonus.” As you can imagine this is bonus experience that is added onto your fight. I’ve seen it go as high as I think 300% so definitely try that out.

Now the best place to score some hardcore XP is definitely the crucible. Now a lot of people are thinking “Yeah but the beetles and hobbes in the beginning aren’t going to put out great XP. Well they won’t but it’s the bandits, and creepy werewolf things (Balverines) that will. What I do to make each wave quick is start with a level 4 or 5 spell targeted at the ground to hit multiple enemies. Start charging it in the beginning and by the time the creatures spawn you should be at 3 or 4. Release it when they get close. Clean up the survivors and BAM you’ll have defeated a wave in no time. *This is also a great way to get the legendary weapon at the end of the crucible, the Axe.* Another great thing about the crucible is the potion shops in between the rounds. They all have an XP increase potion and you get money for completing waves so that’s great XP!!

-NIGHTS EDIT-

Orrrrr we could rock over to what might be called cheating, but in fact PM said that if you want to be the hero that cheats you should be alowed to be the hero that cheats.

So grab your second controller.... Because we all have two controllers. Jump in as a character with no save file, just a goon. Then you want player 2 (the goon with no save) to drop all their XP into the XP pool, So hit Y on all your abilties. Then have player 2 drop out, now your character (player 1) has twice as much XP as you had before. Rinse and repeat.
