Interactive Trailer Lets You Switch Between Multiple Perspectives

Teased last week, developer Turtle Rock Studios launched an interactive series of YouTube trailers this morning letting viewers watch an Evolve match from six different perspectives.

You can get started with the videos by checking out the trailer below, or you can head here for the full experience. The trailer lets you switch between Griffin the Trapper, Markov the Assault, Hank the Support, Val the Medic, the Goliath monster during a single match as Aaron “Ayesee” Chambers and Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios, narrate.

There is also a sixth video that combines all the perspectives into one video. It includes commentary by Chambers and Ashton, also.

  • I want to see gameplay of the more predator esque monster. So far I'm not really impressed with the way the combat feels. I saw one single animation where the goliath actually picked someone up. Other then that it seemed like he was just punching air near them the whole time. The animation for feeding was also pretty lame as well. Why not make it actually eat the small animals?
  • Infatti. ..
  • See its times like these that I don't mind you putting a video through your craptastic player, just stop doing it to Nintendo videos.

We're investigating the video issues with 2K. Unfortunately, the interactive nature means we have to use their link.

  • This game looks pretty dang totes, and them visuals is pretty rad. Especially the fire breath. It looks so firerific.
  • Wonder when they are revealing the other monsters and characters.
  • Damn this game looks really really pretty from players to foliage.

  • Hmmm, after seeing gameplay, this game really doesn't look that entertaining to me. I have doubts that it won't be however, good pedigree makin this game.

  • this makes me want a Predator game made just like this. i know its just wishful thinking but a guy can dream. some day...
  • I just hope this game has a lot of content, I can see this game losing its interest for me fast.

  • I was lucky enough to be able to play 3 rounds of this game at the Insomnia 51 gaming festival here in the U.K. I played as the Medic and the Trapper followed by the Goliath itself. A game hasn't managed to get my heart beating so fast in a long time. Awesome stuff.

  • I probably won't be playing this. Game concept is pretty cool though. And the Goliath looks awesome.

  • I really don't like how every single Footstep shows for goliath. I think it makes it way to easy for the hunters to find him. Maybe a couple footsteps every so often, just enough so the hunters now where the monster is.
  • That was pretty cool! I can't wait to see what other monsters they have. I like that the monster doesn't seem too OP, looks like they have a pretty good balance.

  • The game looks great. I'm wondering how long the fun will last though.

  • This game looks really fun.

  • This game looks really good. I really want to get it, but I need some people to play with online. Also, I don't know how long the game will be fun for. I'm definitely interested though.
  • I am extremely impressed, I adored Left 4 Dead and I have fond memories of being the Tank and wreaking havoc, if they can build on that I am SOLD!
