EverQuest Next
With each new MMO comes the promise of something different, whether its real story, more meaningful progression, or some semblance of reason behind “the grind.” Sony Online Entertainment is planning its own improvements to the genre with EverQuest Next, some of which we’ve already started to see with Landmark.
The team is also looking to change how players interact with non-player characters. In a new video, members of the team show how NPCs will react to players and how factions will dynamically execute on their behaviors.
EverQuest Next is still in the distance, but its creation suite, EverQuest Landmark, is in closed beta right now. You can read our impressions of it for more information.
