Oculus Rift owners are getting one of the system's most promising titles on June 6, when Insomniac Games' Edge of Nowhere releases on the platform. This new trailer features monsters, mystery and isolation.

Virtual reality is still a relatively new product, and few of the games currently available have a big focus on traditional narrative storytelling. Edge of Nowhere follows explorer Victor Howard as he slowly loses his mind on a research mission in Antarctica. The third-person perspective is also a distinguishing characteristic of this VR game, as players will turn their heads to move Victor left and right, as well as helping him climb up and down cliff faces. Check out the trailer below.

This launch trailer raises a ton of questions, like the girl who looks straight out of BioShock Infinite and the monsters that have awoken under the ice. We get a good look at a few of the creatures, including small ones crawling on walls, big ones appearing on a cliff above us, and some sinister tentacled beast dwelling deep in a cave.

The game was designed specifically with VR in mind, so it will be interesting to see how those horror concepts play out and frighten Oculus Rift owners when it hits next week. For more on Edge of Nowhere, and all things VR, see our recent cover story.
