The lights are on
Earth Defense Force 2017 was a lot of things, but it wasn't a game for people looking for satisfying vehicles. Players who set foot in the game's mech suit or plopped down on the hoverbike were nearly guaranteed a short trip to the game over screen. The upcoming sequel, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon seems to remedy that issue, as a new trailer demonstrates.
As before, if you're not into insects, watching these bugs get theirs will either be a big dose of catharsis or a heaping helping of nightmare fuel.

I would actually like to see Marcus Fenix chainsawing a giant ant. "Locus- ANTS?"
aw man, EDF is just another GOW clone now :(.
GOW3 actually looks like fun, unlike GOW2. Didn't like it too much. Felt too slow of a game.
Wait a second...
Sweeeeeeet :) Also, nice job getting the right trailer up so quickly. It was definitely worth the wait
Really looking forward to this.
Ewwww, I hate giant ants. So to see them playing blown away and torched like that is very satisfying!
Also, I think they should re-release Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M. as a downloadable game, anyone else agree with me?
Awesome. Vicious Cycle is doing a beautiful job with this franchise. Admittedly, the bar wasn't exactly very high :) It still looks awesome and fun. And seeing them incorporate a mech is exciting -- this is the studio that did Robotech Invasion and Robotech Battlecry!
I wish they'd make another Robotech.
