The lights are on
In stills, Dying Light doesn't look far removed from the developer's other game, Dead Island, but when you see it in motion, it's easy to understand why the two games are very different.
This video below offers a 12-minute walkthrough of gameplay, showing off zombies, free-running, side-missions, human enemies, and the game's namesake, the danger of night.
Dying Light is coming to current and next-gen consoles. For more on the game, check out our first look, our E3 coverage, and an explanation of how it differs from Dead Island. Dying Light is planned for release in 2014.

This looked pretty intense. I like the direction Dying Light is going in.
The day segments kind of discouraged me because they resembled Dead Island so much. Not that It is a bad thing, as I liked Dead Island and riptide, I was just hoping for something new(ish). Then it got dark, and I loved it. Game is impressive.
Side Note: What the hell is going on with Hellraid? That looks like a hell of a lot of fun.
love even if i think is just a improved version of dead island, which isn't a bad thing
This looks really cool. When I first saw stills for this game I also thought that it would be just like Dead Island but this gameplay definitely looks different (and better) than Dead Island. Dead Island looked like a good game too but I wasn't a big fan of the game. Because of that I'll be cautiously excited about this game until I read a review or try the gameplay myself.
holy crap that looks great. gimme gimme
