This upcoming episodic downloadable Dungeons & Dragons RPG from Atari features 4th Edition rules and cooperative hack n' slash gameplay. Today's video illustrates the Fighter class's many powers.

Daggerdale's feature list is an RPG 101 survey course. Loot, monsters, dungeons, quests, experience, skill progression – these are the backbone of the genre as we know it. It'll be interesting to see how the relatively new 4th Edition rules hold up in video game form.

You can team up with a buddy on the couch for two-player local adventuring, or hook up with up to three other gamers for four-player online co-op.

If you're looking for more Daggerdale video content, we have the launch trailer up here.

Daggerdale is set to release its first episode in "spring 2011" for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC. Aren't we pretty much in spring 2011 right now? Let me at the orcs already!
