The lights are on
It'd be fantastic, whenever possible, if even a small snippet would be included about the integrity of the console versions held against the pc version of games. For instance, Dragon Age looks fantastic, but I imagine the majority of screens etc are from a pc version. Also, how well does the interface hold up versus the near infinite arrangements and accessibility the PC can afford? Thanks GI!
That sound like a good enough idea. Especially for a game like Dragon Age: Origins, that though it looks to be a fantastic game all around, I'm sure the game will be (at the very least a little) better on the PC. I'm curious as to which version the GI review was played on... didn't see anything in the review.
So, GI gave Dragon Age a 9. I wasn't expecting to see that good of scores coming from this game. I have only had a slight interest in this game. Now, I want to at least try it. I wonder if it'll be good on PS3, or if it'll even come out on PS3.
Exactly! I was in the same boat as you, Mr. Henry, hehe. It was highly suspicious how this game came in completely under my radar until it was nearly complete. The reviews and videos I've seen all point to it being good though, so I'm thinking it will get a shot, but my computer is horrible and the only thing preventing me from getting it on a console is the fear the interface will be clunky or some other disappointment and prevent me from enjoying it. I am wondering if this thread will happen to catch any GI attention.. which was the point =(
I cannot wait for this game but i am getting it on my PC because it is cheaper :D
id be getting this on the pc because it will look better and cheaper too :) games like these are meant to be played on pc...
i've always had faith in bioware and is willing to give it a try no matter what... i was expecting this game will rate at least. 7.5 to 9.. good thing GI gave it a 9 now its a must buy!
I agree. This particular review is PC-specific, however; due to some circumstances beyond our control, we weren't able to obtain the console versions of the game for review, so I couldn't really compare and contrast. However, we are planning to review those versions separately if they show substantial differences.
Fantastic! I appreciate the response, Joe! I agree about the pc version.. cheaper is good, and yeah, it will probably be easier to control =\ Unfortunately, some of us have less than stellar computers, blehh.
Iam a console gamer and a hardcore PC gamer. In the so-called console/PC war on who is best - who can honestly say! Its all a matter of opinion. I love the versatility of a pc keyboard/mouse, but it costs some big bucks to stay ahead technologically. Alternatively the console controller is a sweet deal and comfortable and no matter what game you buy - it always works as its supposed too! No worry about graphics changes for better gameplay. Who wins in the war?? No-one can say for sure at this time. Dragon Age: Origins is a game I've been waiting for for a looooong time! I remember bustin out magic missiles in Baldurs Gate lol My vote for this game is to be on console ( maybe because Im too cheap to buy yet another graphics card lol)
imao, I think 9 is going to be way too low of a score for this game.
I haven't played it yet, but I guarantee you that I'm going to put a good 250 hours into it before I switch to another game. At least, if it has an amount of content comparable to Oblivion (which has consumed over 300 hours of my time).
I am just wondering because I am considering either getting this game or Magna Carta 2 and I haven't been able to compare much, so if you could, try to reply with whichever game you think is better?
Oh man I really would love to play this game. It'd be more comfortable on a console standpoint, yet the PC version would surely have a bunch of mods.
Would have liked to know which version of the game he played for Review. I'm assuming PC because that usually comes out first. But in future printing in the review would be helpful.
It was on the pc version. Mr. Joe Juba said it was out of their control, but GI offices didn't get a console copy to try out. I hear ya guys though.. it'd be nice if I had a pc to play it on, but then again that isn't hooked up to my surround system or television =P I guess my biggest concern is the control scheme.. sometimes games just don't hold up as well one way or another. Thanks for the comments guys!
Im waiting for this game since i first heard about it. I belive it will be 10/10 for me(:
Sorry for my english(: -_-
