New E3 Gameplay Commentary To Sate Your Thirst Until Release

The upcoming BioWare RPG has fresh gameplay and commentary. This demo was originally at E3, and part 1 is now available for the public to view. It's guided by Mike Laidlaw, creative director for the project.

The video outlines many of the game's features. Laidlaw talks to people he meets in the forest, rides a horse, and engages in a number of combat sequences that show the breadth of features that the game's combat offers. Check it out below.

Inquisition is a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. The world is bigger, the story is deeper, and the combat is getting updated as well. Some characters are returning, however, such as Cullen and Leliana.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on October 7. We dedicated a whole month of coverage to it, which you can read by clicking the banner below.

  • I've never cared for dragon age games but this game looks like the best one yet, maybe I'll pick it up.

  • God it looks so pretty!

  • Damn I can't wait for this game.

The area they were playing in, The Hinterlands, was as big or bigger than all of Dragon Age Origins. This game is going to be amazing.

  • Those dragon noises are glorious!!!

  • Can you play this game without companions from the Inquisition? It looks like an MMO with the combat but I still can't wait to play it. It looks so beautiful.

  • combat looks pretty badass. was the player character a female though? sure walked like one (hip sway). nevermind, i guess it is. couldn't tell till the half way point in the equip screen.
  • Is this footage pc on ultra settings or is this console? If this is console I'm psyched to see it on pc. If it's pc, I'm excited to see the console versions really as well. Anyone know which it is?
  • oh, seems like there is some sort of jump button? some melee strikes look damn vicious too, like when he first hit the dragon in the leg before it flew off. i like how you could see the dragon choke up the fireball into its mouth first before it fired it too. archers skills looked pretty wicked as well, would be nice to see the arrows coming from a quiver though instead of nowhere. oh that slow time was pretty nifty, cast then fire barrage of arrows into skull.
  • Monster Hunter never looked better. Hope this isn't a button spam fest.
  • Is this video out there anywhere else? I couldn't find it on youtube, even on GIs channel. It looks gorgeous but at the same time *** because of GIs video player lol.
  • Combat looked okay but some of the mage animations reminded me of DA2's "awesome button" animations, which were needlessly superfluous. Hope they have more realistic attack animations for the other classes.
  • I noted that you can jump..nice added feature..LOL... One thing Bioware. I want to see the damage I am inflicting on my foes. dismemberment..broken dragon legs, wings etc....Let us see what we are doing...then you can have all the monies... Who am I kidding you still get my monies...
  • My God it's amazing...

  • *throws cash at screen* Looks fantastic. I love the animations for each character and their skills/spells. The ability to jump will make things feel more mobile as well. I think I saw active dodging in a different video, but can't remember which one. Anyway, October can't get here fast enough!
  • This game will finally shut all the whiners that can't stop talking about DA2 up. Who am I kidding lol. Most of the whiny kids will always whine about something.
  • I've been wanting to hear the voices of the British and American Inquisitors, but I have no idea where to find both. I want more of a comparison. I have heard one, but I am not sure which one it is.
  • Looks fantastic for an Alpha Build, now I can't wait to see the finished product. The combat looks fast and a lot of fun and I can't wait to get into the character customization :)

  • I really cant wait for this game, One of my favorites series of all time. Everything looks well beyond I expected so far. Dragon Age,Fable and Elder Scrolls games are my fantasy worlds while Mass Effect, Halo and Fallout games are my future sci-fi worlds
  • Leave the damn bear alone. How is it cool to torture at length and kill a bear minding its own business!? Jerks.
  • Looks amazing.
