The lights are on
Dota 2 is getting a large update tomorrow that adds things like LAN support, new treasures, and the Portal Pack.
LAN play will allow up to 9 Dota-ers to play with connected computers. Weapon management is receiving an update, and a new game-type called Captain's Draft will be added. Purchasing the Portal Pack adds GLaDOS as an announcer, Aperture Science Wardcores, and a Portal HUD skin.
The First Blood update will be available tomorrow, September 23. You can learn more about it here. Check out our Dota 2 review here.

I miss the old college LAN parties. Online multiplayer is great, but there's nothing like actually being in the room with your friends.
