The lights are on
Doom 3 BFG Edition, the enhanced rerelease of the third game in id Software's Doom trilogy, features eight never-before-seen levels entitled "The Lost Missions." In this new trailer, we get our first look at some of the new content.
In addition to these new levels, BFG Edition includes all the content featured in the original Doom 3 and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil -- as well as complete versions of Doom and Doom II. The game's visuals have been remastered for current-gen systems and PC and are also viewable in 3D. The game is slated for release on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime this fall.

So hang on. I get Doom, Doom II, Doom 3 AND Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil? All in one package? SOLD.
biggest question for me is how much?
$40? i'm down. $60? Too much.
wish they would add the old barney mods and other weird things people were creating with doom
Want this but really want a price first!
All of Doom and Doom II's maps rendered in the updated Doom 3 engine??? hmmm this would have been amazing 8+yrs ago. But since it's coming out as a 40$ title, I am sold.
Give me time Bethesda I haven't beaten Doom II!!! But, hell! I still wish for it since it's coming 6 days after my birthday.
More of a Quake person myself, but I think it's cool that they went back to an 8 year old game and pimped it out. There might be some issues with modding due to this version using a mix of id tech 4 and 5 (so unlike regular Doom 3, the source code won't be able to be released in full). I'm sure this will make a lot of people happy though (lol I know it has already been officially patched into the old Doom 3 but this comes with an option to have constant flashlight or not across all platforms).
