New Doom footage wowed audiences at Bethesda's E3 press conference last night. The game looks true to form – no cover system, regenerating health, or two-weapon carry limit. Players are back in the shoes of a lone Marine fighting back the hordes of hell. Screenshots straight from Bethesda show off these creatures and their disgusting new designs. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the new chainsaw fodder.

The game will have robust single-player and multiplayer modes. Deathmatch is back alongside numerous other match options, including a wave-based cooperative mode. Multiplayer also features Doom Snapmap, a simple but intuitive set of editor tools that lets the community whip up new maps and modes.

Doom has a tentative release window of Spring 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
