The lights are on
Disney Infinity's Toy Box mode is all about unleashing your creativity, and the upcoming 2.0 version of the mode in Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes gives you plenty of tools to do just that.
Would-be creators and vets alike will find plenty to like about the mode's additions, which you can see in the walkthrough trailer below. Highlights include new tools for procedural content generation, templates, pre-loaded games ready right out of the box, friend sharing, increased storage space, interiors, and more.
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (also sometimes referred to simply as Disney Infinity 2.0) comes out on September 23 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS, and Wii U. A Vita version is also in the works for release in 2015.

This has become way more robust than I imagined it would become since the original Disney Infinity Concept announcement. I'm actually impressed. The whole idea of kids now a days being able to collect physical toys, play with them digitally in order to make their ideas come to life, and share them with friends, is just insane. If they give players the option of creating custom avatars with a physical counterpart (similar to what they just announced for Infinity Blade for iOS) then it would be perfect.
Same goes for Skylanders, but I think the Toy Box in Disney Infinity essentially blows it out of the water and has a lot more room to grow and better ways to market itself based on licensing.
That looks like a lot of fun. Love that there's Marvel Superheroes in 2.0.
