New Dishonored Screens Excite

Today Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios released a fresh batch of screens for the very intriguing Dishonored.

Not only do these shots show a Tallboy and plague-infected Weepers, but they also highlight the care Arkane has taken in fleshing out the world. Case in point – the creepy masks of the masquerade ball in the game.

Dishonored comes out October 9 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

  • Can wait til game comes out.
  • Can't wait!

  • The masks creep me out. The weepers....not at all.
  • I wasn't very excited about this game at first. The more and more I see of it, the more excited I get.
  • More like: All The Party Masks In This Game Look Like Something From Alice: Madness Returns.

  • Looks a fair bit like Bioshock - With all the craziness.

  • The graphics of this game are starting to look better. The earlier builds of this game looked horrible.

  • This is going to be epic!
  • This will be a day one purchase for me. My first since Skyward Sword.

  • So cant wait for this game

  • Man, those masks really freak me out.

  • This October? Already? Wow. If this is anything like Skyrim, I will not buy it. Looks good though.
  • Probably my most anticipated release of the fall.  Hope it lives up to the potential I think it has.

  • Looks like bioshocks art direction meets open-world coolness! XCOM on the same day... Man am I gonna be broke!
  • Damn, there's that freaky baby-mask thing.  Now I know what kind of nightmares I'm going to have tonight.....

  • Looking mighty fine

  • How freaking difficult is it for Game Informer's web developer to add navigation buttons to image galleries? Its ridiculously bad UI that in 2012, I have to open an image to look at it, close it, then open the next image. PLEASE FIX THIS. #fail.
  • Couple of comments... First, I will absolutely stop reading all game magazine coverage the instant the article switches over to what happens in a level of the game. I don't want to spoil the surprise for me. But looking at screenshots is totally fine, it keeps my excitement at a feverish level! Second... There's something about the way these screens look that reminds me of Tales of Two Cities, or Le Miserables... Especially the last one of the nobleman in his "coach." No other game I can think of off-hand has made such a literary connection for me before. Absolutely amazing job, Arkane Studios. I can't wait to play your game! (And... Corvo's mask is cooler than anyone else's at that masquerade.)
