New Dishonored Videos Showcase Stealth Vs. Violence

There are different ways to exact revenge in Dishonored, and this pair of new videos shows different approaches to achieving one goal.

The two videos below show a pair of ways to approach a mission called "The Golden Cat." Naturally, one is stealthy and the other is violent. Your job in this task is to eliminate the Pendleton Brothers, who are two corrupt aristocrats.

Dishonored comes out for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 9.

  • This game looks insane.  I don't know if I'm going to buy it yet, but it is definitely on my radar.

  • How did I over look this game

  • I like a game with all these options. I'm really interested in playing this

  • THAT WAS INSANE. DEAR GOD. There is NO way that I'm not going to play through this violently with that awesome agility and combat.... WANT

  • Lookin good !!

  • I wasn't sure that this would be a day one purchase for me, but after seeing these videos, it certainly will be. Hell, I can turn into a fish. Sold! This seems to be the refreshing air that the FPS genre needed. More depth.
  • It seems like Deus Ex with MAGIC!  I'm in!

  • Wow, that looked very, very impressive. Can't wait to hear more about it!

  • That looks really cool :O , this game has officially made it onto my Most Anticipated list.

  • How could this game possibly get any cooler now? Well done again Bethesda.
  • You can play the game without killing a single person? Challenge accepted!
  • That was really cool. This game is now officially on my radar and if I have extra cash this fall this game will be getting it.

  • We knew all that's in this video weeks ago.. but it's nice to actually see it in action. This has been my most anticipated game since I heard the first details and saw the cinematic trailer. The world design and gameplay mechanics are wonderful. I just hope it plays crisply.

  • Looks really fresh and new, which is something that the game industry needs right now. The level of interactivity with the environment, the level of mobility, and all the different paths and options for eliminating your target looks really awesome.
  • The gameplay for this game looks Amazing! I must admit at first reading about this game I was a little worried about how they where going to make everything work and it being such a mixture of so many games.  But after seeing this I can rest assure now that they made it "WORK".  Although I will say the graphics could use some work IMO, but the gameplay does over shadow that IMO. Can't Wait

  • That's cool that there is more than one way to do things.

  • Dishonored, Halo 4, Assassins Creed 3, Resident Evil 6.. etc

  • Looks to me like a sad approach to being Bioshock'ish, but still missing alot of the Bioshock atmosphere. Didn't look complete to me, considering their main vision and expectations of the game. The A.I. didnt feel right. I am still excited for this game - until some extent - but not nearly as much as I was when reading about the game for the first time and when the first screens appeared

  • Just watched the stealth video. Good stuff. I hope the people around the level are more perceptive in higher difficulties, because if you can just peek around a corner by sticking your head out and no one notices you... you get the gist.

    Now for the violent video.

  • I was going to buy this game, now this just solidifies it as a day 1 purchase!
