XMPT Games is bringing DiscStorm, a 4-player arena combat game, to Vita, PC, Mac, and Linux this summer with the help of publisher Mastertronic.

DiscStorm puts players in control of a disc throwing warrior, and pits them against three others in a handful of different game modes. Arenas in DiscStorm have a bit of a twist from standard arena combat games thanks to massive neutral enemies, like the laser shooting Stone Golem or lava throwing Fire Elemental that spawn in to take down players.

Though the primary focus of the game is multiplayer combat, which can be done both on and offline, XMPT also says DiscStorm will feature a singleplayer adventure mode. XMPT and Mastertronic have yet to set a specific release date for DiscStorm.
