Dirt Showdown Puts It In Overdrive
Boost is an important asset in Dirt Showdown, and here you can see it in action through some of the game's various events courtesy of this latest trailer.
The game puts players through their paces via various events that try and marry racing with a destructive attitude. Sometimes it's in traditional destruction derbies and other times it's in normal point-to-point races that just so happen to reward you for driving aggressively.
Part of the fun (take a look at the jump ramps and flying tires of the game's first race in the screenshot above) is using boost – whether that's to gain ground on the field or simply to make your contact with an opponent that much more forceful. Boost is earned both over time and by hitting other cars, so there's no reason to be nice while you're out on the track.
