The lights are on
Capcom's reboot of the Devil May Cry franchise, developed by Heavenly Sword/Enslaved studio Ninja Theory, is heading to Xbox and PS3 sometime in 2012. Today, Capcom released a new trailer, one that shows off a hidden area that will be in the game.As you'll see, Ninja Theory is definitely going for an epic scale here, almost a cross between the level design of DMCs past and the God of War franchise. The game (as stated in a disclaimer at the beginning) is still very much a work in progress. Still, with what what we've seen of the game in action so far (read this preview for more) we couldn't be more excited about it.

Dante looks... well...
First two screens remind me of the new bioshock.
New Dante doesn't look too bad with that camera angle.
Still very excited about this, one of my favorite series' of all time, easily one of the candidates for best action game of next year.
I can't wait for this game I'm currently replaying heavenly sword and is great so far. This looks like one of the best action games of next year.
As long as Dante can still swim and I don't have to go in a huge roundabout pathway to get across that chasm, I have no problem with how that trailer ended.
the more i see of this the more excited i become
Looks cool, but all I wanted was to see double jumps aside from the Trickster-style air dash
looks cool. not anything too out of the ordinary for these games.
every sounds effect sounds like water lol. the spikes in the doorway coming in and out, both times, sounded like water instead of stone breaking. all the successful strikes sounded like water splashing (which i'm guessing is bloodshed obviously but it sounds like kids playing in a bathtub). even when he exits the area with the fight and is platforming, when he lands on the stone it sounds like hes jumping into a puddle.
....or i'm just crazy
Combat still doesn't look that fun.....
