The lights are on
As with most survival-horror games, you're constantly outnumbered and outgunned in Visceral Games' upcoming shooter Dead Space 3. Players who preorder the game can score some in-game weapons and suits that could even things out against the necromorphs.
If you preorder the game from participating retailers, you can get the game's limited edition at no additional cost. It includes the insulated Witness Suit and the First Contact Suit (perfect for zero G and space sections). There are also a pair of weapons included in the bundle. The Evangelizer is a combination assault rifle/shotgun, while the Negotiator is a Tesla-powered energy weapon designed to tear organic matter apart.

Preordered this months ago, don't care about bonuses, just looking for a new DS game!
Dead space is freaky, but really fun!
yes! now announce the collectors edition!
My only concern with this game is that if it is following in the footsteps of 2 specific predecessors. The first being its prior installments where it sort of scary at first but then everything becomes to predictable in which a necromorph is laying the ground assumed to be dead and then springs up the second you get close. This is a classic model but it loses its flare when it becomes to redundant throughout the entire story. I hope they can Visceral can change this up a bit. My second concern is that if it is following in the footsteps of one of the founding games of horror Resident Evil. When saying this I do not mean the horror because otherwise this whole thing would be irrelevant but rather like Resident Evil turning into an action franchise and steering away from the horror roots. Dead Space 1 &2 were great games do not get me wrong but Dead Space 3 seems like it has become to action oriented rather than sticking with horror roots. Visceral has stated that it is very much Dead Space formula in terms of survival horror, but how many times has a developer said this and it has come to pass that action invades the survival horror genres.
Gross, get it away.
what about the collector's edition?!?!?!?
...I need more than just two suits that modify probably one stat each to motivate me to get a game at 60 bucks. Maybe if the limited edition included a co-op horde mode or something that would increase gameplay. As it is... these weapons can be easily made in game of the player's own volition, and the armor isn't necessary.
Can't freackin wait for this game.
This game is gonna be amazing, but I'm not liking the pre-order bonuses.
Im really excited for Dead Space 3, hopefully co-op doesnt ruin the experience! I agree about the pre-order bonuses though, most are useless very quickly.
While I'm caring less and less about pre-order bonuses these days I do plan on picking this up day one. Dead Space is one of the handful of games I buy without waiting for a sale. I used to get all my games day one until I realized how many just sit there waiting for me to play them. It's just wasted money at this point and while I hate waiting I can no longer justify buying all my games right away.
I haven't even finished Fable 3 and how long ago did that come out?? Heck, I only finished Mass Effect 2 about 2 months ago and only barely got into Mass Effect 3 which I bought day one. Had I waited till now to purchase I would have saved 50%! I must admit, it's a d@mn hard habit to break though!
