Dead Island Epidemic

Sign-Ups Available For Upcoming Closed Beta

Dead Island: Epidemic, Deep Silver’s foray into the MOBA genre, is accepting registration for its upcoming closed beta. The developer describes Dead Island: Epidemic as a zombie online multiplayer battle arena game, pitting three teams of four players against each other in a battle for survival.

According to its website, Dead Island: Epidemic’s “core mode” involves the teams “battling it out in a competition to grab supplies, hold key points, outsmart the competition and blast through hordes of zombies.” Players control their hero’s movement directly with WASD controls and use the mouse to aim and fire. Furthermore, the game makes a point that there is no last hitting. Dead Island: Epidemic will also feature weapon crafting, a staple of the Dead Island series.

Newly registered players will receive exclusive in-game items and rewards over the course of the closed beta, which they can keep afterwards.

Dead Island: Epidemic will be a free-to-play PC title and currently has no announced release date.

  • No thanks. nyx nyx nyx nyx nyx
  • oh my god...

  • Dead Island MOBA? Now I think I've seen everything...

  • I think this looks pretty cool actually! It has potential to be a decent game for sure.

  • I'm not sure what to think on this, uh.. cooool? Maybe? I don't know.

  • please no just release dying light not this

  • What the...? No, really ?!?

  • Looks fun. I have consistently failed to enjoy this genre but this game sounds like its more action filled so I'll give it a go one of these days.

  • I prefer the term ZOBA

  • It doesn't seem like a franchise that would fit the genre, but lets see how it turns out.

  • I rarely say this as I believe most game ideas have at least some reasoning behind them but -- WHO IS THIS GAME FOR?!

  • Looks pretty cool actually, nothing to write home about but looks like it has the potential to be fun.

  • Being totally honest I liked both DI games. you get a very uneasy feeling while trying to survive in the DI world and I thought the tension was a success by devs. I thought the tower defense sections in Riptide were totally awesome too. I am confused by this game idea discussed above, not sure what to think about it...Sort of looks like a not-as-good Dead Nation?
