The lights are on
After playing this game I can safely conclude that, at one point or another, Princess Zelda cheated on her gallant hero Link with another man. While the possibilities to the identity of her lover are many, the most likely candidate for the position is the stylish demon hunter Dante. From this union, there was a love child. This love child was named War.
Okay, so maybe that isn't War's official history but you wouldn't know that from a gameplay video of this game. Instead of Link's boomerang there is a throwing blade. Instead of Link's horse Epona there is War's horse Ruin. Instead of Dante's Alastor sword there is the Chaoseater. I think you get the picture.
Now, I bet your asking yourself, "If the game is just an shameless amalgamation of two other games, why did he give the game such a high score?" I'll tell you why. It's because Vigil games copied everything from The Legend of Zelda and Devil May Cry correctly. They took the best parts of each of these franchises and put them together into one of the years best gaming experiences.
Aside from lack of originality, the only thing I can think of that I would deduct points from is the lack of extra content.
Darksiders is a game that follows the principle that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
cool game but needed more hope for a next game
