Dark Void and the Survivor Missions DLC Review
on November 01, 2013 at 09:21 AM
Dark Void takes place in an alternate, or rather, just before an alternate WWII. You play as a pilot named Will who flies into the Bermuda Triangle, transporting him to a world called "The Void." It's inhabited by alien robots called the Watchers, who once ruled Earth before being sent...

The game lacked creativity in the campaign, i found myself uninterested in the story. It was hard for me to get past the first level not because it was hard but because the story line was dull and confusing. I was also disappointed to find out that the game did not have a multi-player for xbox live,...
Dark Void? Is it a jet pack trip worth taking?
on June 21, 2011 at 09:13 PM
Concept: Provide a Sci-Fi plot jet pack shooter with no real twists. the game certainly lacks in creating new ideas. Graphics: pretty good. Cut scenes are nice and character models look nice. Sound: probaly the best part about the game. Nolan North (Nathan Drake, Desmond Miles) voices the main character...
An Unfair Deal
on June 13, 2010 at 10:12 AM
Lets start off by saying Dark Void is definitely not game of the month by any means, however it is very good game with innovative and working mechanics. Dark Void actually provides a pitch perfect feeling of not only flying a jetpack but includes enough ground and air gameplay that you can develop your...
Dark Void - Review
on February 14, 2010 at 07:29 PM
The game was fun when you actually get to ride on a jetpack but gets extremely boring when you're on foot. Even though you have great voice acting from the one and only Nolan North, it still can't save this game from just being another mediocre shooter with some jetpack use to go with it. Watch...
Dissapointment soared new skies
on February 13, 2010 at 06:26 PM
This game pushed my frustrations to a all time high. And for that I can't complete this adventure. I truly wanted to love this game but many qualities prevented that experience to happen. The main drawback from Dark Void was the technical short comings. I had frame rate drop issues that prevented...
This isn't another bad review.. sorta
on February 11, 2010 at 07:29 PM
I was interested in the idea for this game, ever since i heard it. The futuristic gameplay in dark void has never been truly executed. And while the idea to "go anywhere, and do anything" is just dandy. we saw how it played out in a very similar game (Ironman). what's wrong with this epic...

Why does a game with stunning visuals have to be crap? The detail in the graphics is amazing, but the controls is crap. That is what makes a game, controls. *** Capcom!!
free world flying mask unpolished graphics and bad cutscenes

i was really stoked for this game but when i read a review i just decided to rent it and thankfully so. the monatanous dogfights and tedious aiming and verticle ground combat really ruined the experience for me. this game had so much potential but deliverd poorly with bad cutscenes and acting and alot...

This game had a great idea, and then they made this. What a waste of good ideas and potential developers!

Dreary and annoying in equal parts, this is a game best left avoided.
Review - Dark Void
on January 27, 2010 at 10:50 PM
Dark Void (360) With all the high-profile games hitting shelves this first quarter it may be easy to miss Capcom's latest IP, Dark Void. However, Capcom titles usually don't slip past me (since I have somewhat of a soft-spot for the developer) so I was ready to get my hands on the third-person...

Since I kinda have deja vus of what will happen in the future, I knew this exact rating would exist and that I also knew that I would give it the same rating. But no, i was all like "This game is gonna be awesome" and ya. Also, know that I'm a hard rater, and the highest score I've...

I started looking forward to this game early last. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The play controls for one are very responsive, probably the games greatest attribute. Unfortunately, the game play is stale. The AI is super lame. Unless you are surrounded by multiple enemies, it is...
Better than Expected
on January 25, 2010 at 01:32 PM
I enjoyed more of Dark Void than I originally thought I would. This is because most of the reviews I read said that you were fighting on the ground most of the time, and not in the air. Well, after I beat the game, I wondered why they all lied about that. I spent 80% of the game in the air, and not on...
Unremarkable? Unremarkable indeed.

As a gamer, I can forgive a lot. I don't expect everything I play to rate at least a high 8, truth is I find quite a few games that I absolutely love that don't even scratch 8. But this, this was a difficult pill to swallow. Graphically , the game barely qualifies for an "it's alright"...

I have only played the demo but i think that the game is pretty good. The flight controls take time to master but once you do it is a very fun and rewarding experience. The dogfights with the UFOs aren't great because you usually end up flying in circles because they do the same. The on ground shooting...
