The lights are on
The thing that really kept me from getting immersed in other Paradox strategy games was the fact that everything felt so lifeless and impersonal. At the end of the day, I felt that the only difference between one nation or another was the the name. This is entirely different. Because you play as a ruler in dynasty, it feels like a so much more engaging. You name your kids, you marry people off, you are presented with far more interesting choices, you get rivals, and dodge assassins, You fight crusades, choose whether or not to endorse heresies.... I could go on for hours, but I won't. Just know that this game is rad.
