The lights are on
Last week, Atlus teased some ultrasound photos. Now the publisher is proud to announce that it will be giving birth to the US release of Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars on PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
In Conception II, players take on the role of a young man gifted with the divine powers of one of the Star Gods who must battle the fiends who have started to roam the land. The twist to Conception's story is that the Star God’s power only resides within humans until they are 18, so humanity is constantly recruiting teenagers to go fight these monsters. Check out some images of Conception II, which releases next spring, below.

In Atlus, we trust!
Altus rarely goes wrong. I'm looking forward to this big time!
Atlus....can I somehow marry you? You are giving my 3DS more value with another awesome release. Just promise me Persona 5 will be on 360 (since I don't have a PS3) or maybe if I'm lucky 3DS as well and I will be yours forever.
isnt atlus just awesome (Cartman voice)
Having heard of this (and the first game in the series) before on Siliconera, I'm confused why Atlus would bother. Having looked at it... I'm even more confused (but then again, I've never been a big fan of generic character designs like this anyway - one of the reasons I cannot drum up any enthusiasm for Aquapazza either). This seems like something that would never have come out here, and something -honestly- no one would have probably missed. At best, something NIS America would've picked up instead of Atlus or XSeed.
But who knows? Atlus seldom does wrong... and it's great to see that Sega's owning them hasn't stymied them and their quirky/brilliant decision-making in any way so far. So I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Here's hoping it's as good as Shin MegTen, Persona or Etrian Odyssey! If Atlus believes in you, Conception II, I definitely can't blindly dismiss you :)
nice one atlus! wohooo!
I bet I own an Atlus game on the 3DS that none of you have.
It looks enjoyable to me. Once I get a look of how it plays maybe I'll be coerced into buying it.
That's cool. I might have to check it out when it when it comes out. But I must say, this isn't the Japanese game that I most want to come stateside. =(
I will buy pretty much any non-fighting game Atlus publishes. Though it would be nice if they released the original Conception along with the sequel.
Awesome almost anything Atlus is good and this makes me want to get a vita which I've been holding out on getting due to not liking very many of the games on it.
