Uppercut Games, a studio made up of ex-BioShock developers that banded together to make titles like Epoch and Submerged, recently revealed their new project. City of Brass is a first-person roguelite that thematically resembles games like Prince of Persia.

You make your way through a procedurally-generated, Arabian Nights-themed area and search for treasure, while using your scimitar and whip against the undead. Your whip can also be used to grapple onto buildings and other specific points so you can swing across rooftops, or be used to disarm enemies in battle. As you progress, you will encounter deadly traps and pitfall. Failure results in permadeath.

City of Brass releases in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in Fall 2017 for PC.
