Chroma Squad, the Kickstarted tactics game starring multi-colored uniformed kung-fu stuntmen, releases next week.

After being available to Kickstarter backers in beta form for some time, the game officially releases on Thursday, April 30. In the game, players manage an indie Japanese superhero TV studio crating a Power Rangers-like show. Players will manage the studio, and direct the action with tactics gameplay. You can check out the game's launch trailer below.

You will notice below the game's logo in the trailer is the phrase, "Inspired by Saban's Power Rangers." Though the game was developed from the beginning as an homage to the “sentai” style of science fiction, in which a team of costumed heroes pilot robot vehicles, Power Ranger's owners, Saban, took issue with the game. Ultimately, the developer decided to share revenue with the Saban as opposed to go to court. You can learn more about that issue by heading here.
