Konami UK has released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming 3DS game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, which shows off just how long players may be spending with it.

According to Konami's estimates, you can expect about 20 hours of gameplay. Of course, they don't elaborate on whether they're talking about just the critical path or a deeper exploration into Dracula's castle.

Either way, you'll be getting a lot of mileage out of your whip.

The 20 hours of gameplay is kind of old news I knew it was gonna be about that long a couple of months ago before Christmas, didn't they already talk about how long the game was gonna be estimated on this site?

Love me some 2D Castlevania. I spent so many hours playing through all the GBA and DS games. I'm intrigued with this, especially with the combat changes.

I wish this game was more on the lines of Koji Igarashi's entries in the series, and those game we're the sweet, sweet dessert of gaming. Still, this doesn't look bad, and Mercury Steam have proven themselves capable with LOS. If nothing else, I'll be getting this as a reason to power my 3DS on for the first time in over a year. Where the f**k is my Animal Crossing?

Wow, that is a good amount of gameplay. I'm really hoping that is just critical path though. I could definitely see this game lasting a good 40 hours with side quests and collecting everything.

The 3DS keeps getting better! Can't wait for Luigi's Mansion and Pokemon later this year, I just hope Nintendo starts doing the same for the Wii U with more exclusive titles and soon.(at least announce them)
