The lights are on
Details about the upcoming Castle of Illusion remake have been scarce, but today Sega released the second part to its developer commentary video series. Join team members from Sega Studios Australia in the trailer below as they discuss what it took to modernize Mickey’s classic platformer.
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse was released for Sega Genesis in 1990. The HD remake will be available for XBLA, PSN, and PC later this summer.
Take a look at the first part in the series here.
Really cant wait for this, looks so god damn charming..
After Epic Mickey 2, and the huge disappointment that was Power of Illusion, it's good to see Disney taking their Mouse back to basics. This game looks more awesome every time Sega shows it, and far more engaging as a platformer than the original game (which, let's face it, is kid's stuff. It's not challenging at all nowadays).
My only question is, where did Sega Studios Australia come from!?! Sega just happened to have a talented little studio down under for awhile, and kept 'em a secret? That's baffling. You can tell just from videos that they're better than Sega Studios USA was a few years ago (who made stuff like... *sigh* Golden Axe Beast Rider)
Best-looking remake ever. I'm intrigued.
awesome hope they do world of illusion too. I loved the mickey games from the genesis/mega drive era.
So many greet 2d disney remakes
