The lights are on
Activision is expanding the functionality of clans in Call of Duty: Ghosts, including a companion app, cross-platform XP, and a mode called Clan Wars.
The trailer below showcases some of the clan features of the title such as clan vs. clan playlists, a handy app that lets you edit your emblems and which recommends clans for those not already in one, and Clan Wars. The latter (see screen below) creates clan vs. clan battles to secure and hold locations for exclusive items and XP bonuses.
Ghosts also allows clan members on different consoles to contribute XP to the clan pool – unless you're on the Wii U.
Call of Duty: Ghosts comes out for the Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on November 5; PlayStation 4 on November 15; and Xbox One on November 22.

The only clan I have ever been in was when me and a few friends came across another clan named SEAL so we changed ours to ORCA just to mess with them. After a few games they got upset and left, then we changed our tags back to what they where before.......just in case anyone was interested.
Cross Platform is a pretty sweet step in the right direction.
Hey sounds great! Now our clan mates who are not going to jump to next gen willl still be working with their next gen compadres!!
This sounds like a cool feature but not sure if this idea will really take off. PS4 day 1 shipping I'm out
Brotherhood of steel?
Oh, well, I'm not interested in companion apps anyway. I just want another solid online Wii U experience.
Squads have always been the ultimate form of Co-Op, I'm curious to see how they make their first entry into the "Squad" based titles. Though "BattleField" has always been at the top of it's game their. Not to mention the "BattleField 4" Beta was amazing!!! ^_^
