Call of Duty: Black Ops III
The Black Ops III beta is open to everyone and extended. Treyarch is keeping the servers alive until late tonight, so you still have time to get in on the action.
The level cap is now level 40 (Colonel), and a new specialist is available. There’s also a new mode joining the fun this year.
Safeguard is an attack/defend mode that creates asymmetrical play. Attackers must escort a robot drone into the enemy base, but it will only move when someone on the team is standing close by.
Defenders can stall the robot by dishing out enough damage to need a reboot. If a team wins both sides, they’ve won the match.
The Xbox One and PC betas spin up this Wednesday.
Update: The information we received from Activision this morning was slightly outdated. Treyarch raised the level cap to 49 yesterday.
