The lights are on
Most of what you've read about this game is true; the graphics are subpar, the AI is dumb, story is nonexistent, single player is super short, muliplayer is prone to lag. Overall it is an artistic and technical mess. A poor developer obviously had to rush this game out the door.
The thing is I can't say that I haven't enjoyed my time with the game. The single player missions were just the right size to tackle during my commute and scratched the shooter itch. The muliplayer I found engaging despite the small levels that created imbalance in the weapons (go shotgun, trust me). Even Hostiles, the wave-based survival mode, held some enjoyment in trying to figure out all the ways to manipulate the AI baddies into funneling to their doom.
The important thing is to know what you are getting yourself into. This is not a console Call of Duty shrunk down. This is a mobile take on Call of Duty that takes the mandate of bite-sized entertainment and runs with it. It also is mostly poorly executed. If you go into it with lowered expectations you may get some enjoyment out it.
