Bound By Flame
Bound By Flame was announced early last year, but since then has been mostly silent. Now developer Spider Studios is pulling back the veil of secrecy with the game’s first trailer and the announcement that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4.
Players step into this dark fantasy universe as a mercenary by the name of Vulcan, who through the course of the game becomes possessed by a flame demon. By either resisting the demon’s influence or letting the demon have its way, players can unlock new abilities for their character as they fight their way through an undead army.
In the announcement on PlayStation.Blog, game project manager Walid Miled says combat in the game features multiple combat styles. He goes on to say that every fight requires preparation and tactics such as sneaking, arming traps, or fighting from afar with magic. He doesn’t recommend charging head-first into battle: “Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t an infiltration game," Miled says. "It’s just that we’ve made the fights hard and demanding. It’s no walk in the park.”
The game will also feature a robust crafting system, allowing for the customization of every piece of gear in the game, as long as players gather the necessary ingredients. Miled also promises monsters. Lots of big, scary monsters.
