The lights are on
The latest trailer for the upcoming previous- and current-gen fantasy action game, Bound by Flame, shows its combat in action.
You can check out the trailer below with shows combat from the PlayStation 4 version of the game. It has a bit of a Dark Souls flare to it, and previously the game's project manager, Walid Miled, did say the game's combat is intentionally difficult calling it, "no walk in the park." You'll see assorted weapons and combat stances in the video, as well as a little bit of stealth.
Bound by Flame is heading to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on May 8. For more on the game, check out its original announcement here, as well as more details and its previous trailer here.

Looks okay. Seems a little more akin to Kingdom of Amalur. At 1:30 I'm pretty sure he pulls a gat, so I'm not sure what that's all about. Being an RPG nerd I do need something for my PS4, so this'll have to do until some of the heavy hitters release. I hope there's an option to turn on damage numbers.
Considering my time with the developer's other RPGs, despite some rough edges, I'll probably pick this one up at some point.
As previously mentioned, I'm feeling a little put off by this gameplay trailer for most of what everyone else is saying. However, I'm a little more disappointed in the HUD presentation rather than the gameplay itself. I'm not quite sure why, as every other reason that people have stated previously is valid, but the HUD just looks ugly. I can't imagine staring at that for more than half an hour due to it just being so out of place compared to the detail the game itself has.
As always, this could be changed and polished before release and hopefully they will tack this improvement in with the rest of them.
I was interested in this game but now I'm not so sure about it anymore.
